My new baby for driving my new baby around. We had two smaller cars, a Chevy Aveo and a Toyota Matrix, but both were too small to fit a stage 1 car seat and have someone sitting in the front seat. Also, we found that cargo space was just slightly less than what we needed. I had always wanted a Prius, but thought one would be too small. Then I discovered the Prius V, and I love this thing. I just bought it yesterday. The gas mileage is awesome, and it fits the car seat and a front seat passenger comfortably. The extra few inches of cargo space also really seems to make a difference. I hope to run this vehicle until it dies.
Here's my magnetic "Steelie" iPhone mount on my new Prius 3. The wire routes from the USB socket in the center console to pop out just under the phone.
Hey guys brand new to prius chat I've had mine for about 3 years now and finally fell back in love with it. Have satin redrum pearl plastidip k-1 duraflex body kit 19x8.5 wheels and k-sport air ride let me know what you think and glad to be here found a lot of my searches brought me here, figured it's time to join
My car i named Sexi after the tardis because the color looks like tardis blue. My friend also created a tronish themed version of it that I just loved so i figured I'd share! I'm still newish to the Prius, but I work with the Prius expert John Dolan at Toyota, and he's showing me the ropes of the Prei. Lol I'm already getting 70 and 80 mpgs on average around town. I love hypermiling!
SOOOOOO HAPPY WITH MY 2015 PRIUS!!! Still getting the hang of everything though. The most complex car I've ever owned. Makes having a prius so much fun.
Just got my new Prius 4 w/ the deluxe solar roof package. Been looking on line like mad man looking for mods. This was supposed to be an unmodded work car, but I just can't keep her stock. Short term planned mods.. - Remove the hubcaps and see what's underneath. May just keep the hubcaps off. - Tint the windows. I'm thinking 35% for the windows and 20% for the rear glass (getting it done tomorrow) - Just received the weathertech side window deflectors today which I bought from the PriusChat Shop ( will put them on tomorrow) - HID/LED fog lamps (anyone have any suggestions where I can pick some up?) - HID headlight 6k (open to suggestions as far as brand and where I can pick them up)
Finally decided to sign up for the site after lurking for a few months. I've got a handful of questions and while I know there's a search feature and all it's a lot easier to be able to chat directly with folks so I went for it. Pictured above is the current state of my 2011 Prius 2 purchased in January of this year. As you can see I've started making some changes but my ambitions are much higher. One step at a time, I suppose. Anyway, happy to be here.
Looks sharp with the black trim - I keep taking a second look trying to work out what you've changed. Is that tint on the quarter windows or complete black out? I wonder what a prius would look like with a black stripe down the roof-bonnet? (bonnet=hood)
I've just order some LED bulbs from aliexpress for the foglights. You can also buy complete LED units - same part as yaris and many other toyotas I believe. But there is a lot of junk out there. Most burn out after 3 months.
Thanks! At this point I've blacked the emblems all around (including the one on the steering wheel), 35% tint all around, blacked hubs (until I can find the time or money to either recolor the stock alloy or upgrade to 17''s), and black taillights which aren't really shown off in this photo... so uh - here: Bit of a crappy photo but it's the first one I could find. I'm in talks with a fellow at my work who runs a graphic / print shop around carbon fiber wrapping the hood and possibly the whole upper half, roof, hatch spoiler, and all that jazz. Would love to lower a bit too.
-- Got the windows tinted.. 20% in the rear and 35% on the sides at Blackout Window Tinting. -- hubcap delete -- Weathertech window deflectors
Looking good. I wish I had known about the black alloy on the newer models before pulling the trigger on a 2011. Silvers cool and all but it doesn't really match the rest of my aesthetic.
