Ready to install the Nav sun shield and lower OEM door chrome today. Anyone found some door handle chrome that will work with the auto/lock/unlock?
I bought a 2007 Prius Touring -Seaside Pearl -Package #6 -93k Mi -45mpg & loving it! Mods: tinted windows, 3M black gloss spoiler wrap & took off the ugly touring wheel covers...
Bought a used 2010 Prius II on June 15 after looking at Corollas, Civics, Focuses, and Mazdas. How can you beat 50 MPG? Washed, waxed, and wheel covers removed. What's next? Probably window tint.
I've been going through withdrawal for the last 10 days because my partner has been visiting family...., but here is our v. I'm looking forward to seeing and driving it again soon!
I don't think I'd ever have given up my 2005 - it averaged 49 miles per gallon over its life - three sets of tires, two sets of brakes, two sets of wipers, filters, one belt and a little gas and oil, that's all. That's my idea of a great car. But two weeks ago a garbage truck miscalculated the path to the next set of cans... so it didn't quite make it to 128,000 miles. But three days ago, I took delivery of a 2013 plug in base model...I'm once again learning to drive.
OK, so not exactly a newb to owning a Prius -OR- to the forum (been a lurker for years), but finally decided to sign up and join the fun This is my 2004 observed in its natural habitat - covered and dirt, with bikes in tow. Blue Beast, as my buddies have nicknamed her, has waited for me at trailheads all over the US as well as at least 7 NASCAR tracks. Although she felt a bit uncomfortable at first in this world of rednecks and pickup trucks (we call Kansas home but have also lived in Texas, West Virginia, and Alabama), it's all become second nature for both of us!
Those are nothing compared to the rednecks I've dealt with here. So, mud didn't bother me so much when I had an SUV. We have summer, fall, winter, and mud season - when all the sand/salt from the winter finally thaws out. Whatever. But now I'm petrified to get winter slush/mud on the paint...or undercarriage...
Hello! I'm finally here! Picked up my 2010 Prius IV this week. I love it! It's fully loaded and the solar roof is super cool. Coming from my second Toyota Avalon, I wasn't sure I could make the switch but I'm so glad I did because it's a really fun car to drive. Have lots to learn so there will be tons for lurking on this site. Thanks for having a great resource for users!
