    Here's some pics of my new 2011 Prius! Still learning about the car... have only filled up my take once in 700 miles so far. Lot's to learn from the car and from the wisdom in these forums.

    Hello everyone! Norwich, CT here and brought home the Prius III this weekend past! It's a beautiful car and chocked full of impressive technology and innovation! I'm absolutely jazzed!

    Though as I've been admiring it all weekend, can someone please comment as to the obvious non-concave look of my roof? I was thinking it would look more like a completely-rounded, oval curve at the top, but it almost looks as if someone gave a couple judo chops on equal sides of the top. Maybe they all look like this? :p

    Anyway, took it to Best Buy last night and replaced the stock mirror with Onstar FMV (I highly recommend the service - as it saved my life in my previous vehicle)!

    Isn't she lovely? :D

    The curves on the roof is for aerodynamics (funnel the air through the centre, minimise the turbulence along the sides). It also reduces the frontal area surface and I suspect there may be strengthening/rigidity properties with a curve panel vs. a flatter one (e.g. if you find yourself upside, on the roof of the car).

    Wow! I didn't even consider the aerodynamic ramifications of the roof! Makes perfect sense and thank you very much for the reply! :)
