Newbies - Let's See Some Pics!

Bought it early Aug and delivery Aug 26th from Seeger Toyota, got a really good deal from US bank Finacing (3.02% on 36 months for 15k), Trim II. So far trip B best is 70.4 MPG on 7 - 8 mile trip (prob was doing 12 - 16 mph in 25 suburb area . Overall one tank already filled I think about 472+ miles, 9.08 gallons but I calculated about 52.55 MPG for that tank.

Daily commute one way is about 7.8 - 8 miles all back roads and one or 2 main roads (Avoiding travelling I-270 and I-64 Maryland Heights to Chesterfield MO)

It's my first hybrid. Had narrowed it down to either VW Jetta 2009 / 2010 TDI Diesel else Prius.

 

Here's mine, purchased on Sept. 26. Photo detail isn't great, I used my phone because I wanted to capture my pup chilling with the new toy.

 

First pump up your present tires to the max on the sidewalls.

 

We got our Barcelona Red Prius II in late July.
There's about 1800 miles on it now, and we love it.

 

Ledge: Where in WI do you live? I live in Madison and my new RED Prius is due one week from today. I see many many Prius around here, but have not seen a red one on the road.
PS What is the plural of Prius, anyway???

It took a while, but I was lucky to find a III with Solar Roof, and no leather, in the Northeast.

Got a great deal, >$1000 under MSRP, too.

I live near a small town named Oakfield.
It's about 64 miles from Madison.

Had a truck for 41 years - there was not an automobile in this world that I would have . . . until I drove a 2008 Prius - loaded - within two weeks, I had my blue one and my oldest son had my Blazer! I still borrow the Blazer to tow, but that Prius gets me down the road @ 48 MPG.

Thanks to F8L on the avatar and name - the Seagull was photo'd at Nags Head, NC several years ago - it was February and he was hungry! OLDSEAGULL = EAT, POOP & SQUAWK. It gets attention, and is a good-humored handle!

To the NUCLEAR POWER neighbor, I have towed my little boat, a NIMROD pop-up camper, plus use the hitch for the Hitch-Haul to carry stuff to the dump ~ and have run the sand at Cape Hatteras National Seashore . . . but the best years of that were when I had the '85 S-10 Blazer 2-door - it was the best vehicle I ever owned for the beach! I miss that, but have crossed the bar, and just cannot do i all anymore! I have a lot of good memories though, friend! Thanks for asking.

Oh yea, let's keep the subject PRIUS = last week, I was at my dealer (Casey Toyota - Williamsburg, VA) for 25K oil change and tire rotation . . . looked at those 2010 PRIUS - there was one in the showroom, and they are nice looking, cool changes, but I am not ready to buy another . . . yet.

Purchased a Blue Ribbon Metalic Prius II on 11/17. The wife and I liked it sooo much, we traded in my '08 Honda Fit on 11/29 for a 2nd one. We now also have a Prius III with the Solar Roof Nav. Pkg. in Blizzard Pearl. SWEET!!!
