We took delivery of our new 2010 Prius w/ Technology Package last Thursday, September 3rd. Took a couple of pictures which we would like to share with you folks. So far the wife and I are quite happy with the car. Still on the learning curve getting used to the different systems. First mods on the list are fog lights and wheel center caps.
Congrats! don't forget to share them here too http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/61909-official-2010-prius-owners-pics.html Let us know how the foglight mod works.
I bought this from the dealer because he met my expectations. I wanted all the gadgets, fun stuff and a sunroof. He just happened to have a Package 6 with an after-market powered sunroof and wood grain on the dash and doors. It seemed a little excessive at first, but it goes well with the smell of the new leather. And he threw in the sunroof and wood grain for free because it was the last week before he got the new 2010s. There are more pictures in my album. I really love the car and the extras make it unique.
Hey Sir, I just got mine today. Its used but new to me. Her name is "Rosie" and she is '05. Here she is!
Hi everyone! I found this site even before I bought my Prius and decided it was finally worth joining now that I have some free time. I bought my Prius on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from Claremont Toyota just outside Los Angeles. I had it custom built because I wanted the Package III model with the solar roof. It took almost 2 months to build, but I finally got it and it's running smoothly. Here are some pics: The first pic was taken at the dealership with my phone's camera (bad quality), and the last two are from after we drove it home. So far, I'm really happy but have some questions. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to ask them here, but here goes... If there's a better place to ask, just let me know and I'll post them there. Thanks! 1. The digital fuel meter has 10 bars. With a 12-gallon tank, I figure each one is about 1.2 gallons. I usually refuel when there's just one or two bars left, but the most I've ever managed to pump is 9 gallons. Does anyone know if there's some sort of safety feature that doesn't want you to fall below 2 gallons before refueling, or is the meter just a bit off? 2. I used to drive a year 2000 Camry, and ever since I started driving the Prius, my right knee has gotten a bit sore. Does anyone know if this has to do with the height of the seat, or anything else? 3. My commute is very long (about 85 miles round trip) and involves almost 2,000 feet in elevation change (mostly downhill going to work, mostly uphill coming home). Each tank gets me about 400 to 450 miles. I'm pretty satisfied, but I'm curious to know if my mileage per tank sounds within normal range. Any advice and input would be welcomed! And again, if there's a more appropriate place to ask those questions, let me know. Thanks! Update: I did some in-depth snooping around the site and found answers to my questions. But if anyone wants to add anything else, I'd be happy to read your thoughts!
here's mine....! one of the last 2009 Gen II NHW20 Prius... i chose a Gen II over the Gen III Prius because I felt the Gen III was a little too big for modding. I would have to use 20" wheels on it to get the look that i want.
Glad you found your answers. I wanted a 2010 with package III and sunroof but was told in NY state I could only get the sunroof with IV. I have a 2008 Pri and love it. Get from 8 - 9 gallons/fill with about 450 max /tank so yes, you are in line with what to expect. Congrats on the car.
Thanks, Prius12306! Does your commute involve any long grades or inclines? About the package you wanted, I was told the same thing in CA, but eventually they sat me down with some specialist and I basically had to show him how to do his job. The Toyota website has always said it's possible to get package III with the solar roof, but I suppose that most dealerships want to make a sale as quickly as possible and don't want to wait for the car to be built in Japan and shipped to the US. In fact, I customized and ordered mine on July 4, and the car arrived around July 31, but it was the wrong color! So we ordered another one (same package, color, etc) and it finally got there basically 2 months after my original order.
Beautiful! I was seriously debating between white and the color I got but with all the smog, ash, and dust in SoCal I went for metallic gray. Plus, I don't wash my car too frequently, so white would've been a bad choice for me. I love your color, though! Congrats!
Hi there all! I'm Mark from the Netherlands. After two weeks of waiting here's my brand new Prius 2010. (weird, this is my first post, i'm trying to link to a pic in my album @ this very site. it tells me i can't link untill 5 posts?) It has Executive trim and a solarroof, color 070 (Pearl White). No clue how it compares to US cars yet, as i said, i just got the car today and only tonight i found some time to check around for Prius forums. Been busy on Honda S2000 forums before too, since that's my "play around toy" for the weekends. Anyways, i'm very happy and more then pleasantly surprised with the car. Drove 40 km so far, nothing big, but got to play a bit with all nifty designer stuff inside. Ride was (imho) quite okay, to my liking it's way too soft. High, energy saving tyres make it more spongy i suspect and i love the looks of a car with a set of rims that look like they were created for the car. Soooo.. Currently searching for 18 or 19 inch rims but missing out on examples of really "fat" 2010 priusses still to borrow some inspiration from... Any suggestions? Thanks all! Hope i'll learn a lot from you about my new "daily transport with a green heart". Mark
My commute is flat and short. 18 miles and all highway. So at speeds over 70 most of the way I'm thrilled to be getting over 45 mpg. As to "building" one, yes, someone from Toyota (not the local dealer) said I could do it, but the local dealer did not seem interested. I chose to just keep my 2008 which I LOVE and wait, things will change again in another 4 -5 years - maybe even plug in! Best of luck to you with the new car - enjoy.
YOU LUCKY Devil!!! great timing on getting the lasts of the GenIIs... that would be choice exactly!..... but i would have got the carbon dash trim.... that's my taste... anyway, in my opinion, Customer Service is extremely important. I would pay a little more with the guarantee that someone will always be around to answer ALL my questions. so happy modding with your beautiful new prius!
<tooting my horn> Sorry I have no pics yet, but I have arrived! Slightly dazed from all the shopping and research, but recovering quickly, especially now that I have this shiny new car to drive. We picked her up yesterday. About pics - it has been raining here for five days and more is predicted for the next seven. If it ever stops, I will send in my pic. We got Classic Silver/Misty Gray leather, pkg III with solar/nav. Looks lovely, even in the Georgia rain. We drove it on several errands on the way home yesterday, and took her out again today. Even in the rain, we are learning quickly how to drive efficiently and we are having fun. Thanks so much to everyone who participates in Prius Chat. You really helped the DH and me with this purchase. Edited to add: I am going to put a thread in the Dealership/Pricing forum about available cars in GA and TN with and without solar.
Here is my Barcelona Red that I picked up in August. Have about 2K on it now and seem to be consistently in the low 50's for mpg.
