Here's my Prius, aka "Snowman!" I got it last Sunday. http://louievtran.spaces.live.com/photos/cns!6D918ED0C19C862F!630/
Hey guys, Just got my Prius home a couple days ago and found the Forum. Still at the dealership. Finally got it home. Hope to find some cool things to do to my Prius to make it my own. My first mod was changing the air stem caps on the tires to little skull caps. It looks pretty cool. I hope to get a roof rack on it soon for my bikes.
Woohoo!!!! I finally brought home my baby yesterday. I am now a proud owner of a 2008 Seaside Pearl Prius. (Package #5) Already beginning the process of learning how to drive more efficiently for maximum gas mileage. I want to thank everyone on this forum for all the helpful information while waiting for my Prius to finally come home. Enough of the gushing...here are a few pics.
I put the bike in the back hatch - roof racks will cut your mileage. Not sure if a rear rack would affect mileage, maybe that would be a better option? Very nice color! Enjoy.
Exactly where mine goes too. Hopefully someday I'll move up to the installed Ipod controller and will keep the ipod in the cd holder in the dash. I'm finding it really hard to spin that wheel and drive at the same time
hi! im rachele, I've had my Prius since last august and i just found this forum. I'm pretty sure i get way less mpg than everyone, most likely because of the way i drive. knight rider! haha.
My first post... my first Prius... and yeah... I'm wearing a skirt... a MANLY skirt at that! a Utilikilt! hehehe I've already got 4K miles on it, it's only a few months old... err... the car, not the kilt. I love it! My daughter picked out the color from what was available on the lot.
Hi! Just picked up my Prius on Tuesday and I already love it. Many thanks to everyone on PC for all the extremely helpful information I read while waiting for my car to arrive!
You made a fantastic choice of cars! Aren't we a smart Bunch? Nice color, too! Enjoy your hi-tech vehicle! There's none better.
hello! name's jamie and just wanna drop by and make myself welcome in here... that's a nice way to know it the user's a spambot...nice to hear! anyway, here's my pic...
Just got it yesterday. My wife and I have been driving around learning about all its intricacies last night and today. The minivan that it replaces (sort of) is in the background. It will now be parked off to the side and not used unless we need it (2 adults, 3 kids, 1 dog) With the Prius, my wife's average MPG will more than double over her 60 mile per day round-trip commute versus the Odyssey.
OK, newbie question - some asked me, and I didn't know - if you look at the pictures and your new car you will notice that the tires are marked with orange and/or blue circles on them. Someone asked me what this was about, and I have no idea. If you look at the post above you can see these marks on the rear tire, left side of the tire. Anyone?
All new tires have those marks on them. I just got some new Michelin PS2s for my Audi and it has those on them. Same with the new tires on DH's car. They're probably just color coding for the manufacturer's own purposes. ETA: So I was curious and looked this up on Google and the yellow dot should be lined up with the valve stem when the installer is putting the tires on. The red dot is for if the yellow dot does not make for the most optimal installation. From further observation of the picture the back-end tire valve is lined up with the yellow dot and the front-end tire is lined up with the red dot. So yellow=back? Red=front? *Adjusts monocle* *Puffs pipe*
This isn't the first Seaside in this thread... Package 6, bought at MSRP plus mats & cargo net. The salesman says they're selling at a grand or two over MSRP now. I'm going easy on the driving until I have a chance to install a Clear Bra on the nose (hood at least; bumper if the hood goes well).
Nice color choice, Was it a choice? I had no choice, but ended up loving my color as it really shows no dirt. Please post after installing the bra. I've always been curious about them in order to protect the hood. i drive an interstate every day and soon will have my share of scratches. On my previous car I went through 3 windshields due to rocks kicked up (sigh - those damn semis).
