Are Subaru's comparable to Toyota/Honda in longevity?

 

Yes.

I have an '05 with 155,000 (purchased new).....still can't get it stuck in the snow.

 

Out here in Colorado, there are a ton of 20 year old Subaru's cruising around with 250k on them

 

We have a Mazda 5 and just purchased a 2012 Prius Four, but was also considering to go with Subaru Outback or the new Crosstek. Maybe I should just swap the Mazda with Subaru

When the wife's 98 4Runner with 255 k finally gives up the ghost, she wants an outback.

I see plenty of them on Craigslist with over 200k on them out here. And people are the worse enemies of cars out here.

No salting of roads or inclement weather.

Why do I hear about all the engine rebuilds at 150-200k? My friends outback just recently barfed it's tranny. Google Subaru engine and tranny failures. I'm calling bull crap on the Subaru vote.
