Post #92 has the free link thanks to davidw8818.

You don't want the new apps and the improved speed and nav plus the enhanced runnability?.

oh reallllly. I'm downloading the update on my USB flash drive. Hope it doesn't brick my head unit. I could use a little speed update. There is major lag. What kind of new apps???

just uploaded the new software. There are a few new apps like slacker. The one thing I did notice was how much more snappier the system is. I didn't know but I was only at version 2.1! Again, much snappier!

Make sure the USB is formatted to Fat32... ran upgrade today from 3.2 went very smooth..also turn car on..not acc..so it does not interrupt the install.

Thanks all. I just installed 5.2. Turns out I was on 2.2, not 3.4. My primary reason for upgrading was not the new apps, but to improve the nav system. My nav started stalling and flashing constantly. It looks like this update fixed that issue.

Keep up the positive reports of 5.2! I'm still on 5.1 but if I get anymore reports like above, I might just upgrade. My issues with 5.1 is the random rebooting at start up after pairing to the phone.

I look forward to seeing what new features it has.

Reinstalled head unit, updated to to 5.2, problems with handling MP3 files seem fixed... Better late than never.

Thanks for the links! I just bought a 2014 Plug-in Prius, and was glad for the update. One thing though - I'm not able to do HD iTunes tagging. Every time I hit "tag", from any station, it says "Saving the HD radio tag failed." Then, confusingly, it says that it sent the tag to my iPod (I have an iPod classic 120GB). When I sync up with iTunes, a "Tagged" playlist is generated, but is empty. I re-downloaded the 5.2 upgrade and re-installed it, but no change. Any ideas? It's a cool feature that I'd like to use.

Bump. Link in message #92 still good (stupid message board won't let me post a link because I'm new). Just updated my 2.2 to 5.2. Thanks for the help!

So here's a dumb question. I went to the My Toyota website and was able to download the Entune software Update (5.2.0). I now have it on a Flash drive. Usually I'm the type who believes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". But I'm half tempted to try doing the update on my Prius C4. I think I'm at 3.1 now. If I try the update and for whatever reason it bricks the unit, is it likely I could have it fixed at a dealer under my Platinum Extended Warranty? I still have about a thousand miles left before the warranty is up.

Well, I took a chance and just did the update (from 2.1 to 5.2). Just for the heck of it, I also unpaired then repaired my phone afterward. So far, all's well. Settings stayed as they were. Haven't really had time to explore what may have changed. I'm just happy to see I didn't brick it.

I know it is old thread but to get internet now that entune is dead... the only option is USB or DUN?

when I connect to USB my phone is pulling too much current from my 2012 Aux USB and the radio turns off the port charging... so I can not use the port for internet... is there any way around that ?
