That's not a bad deal then, glad to hear you got a fair resolution.

BTW. I wonder if the first thing Toyota Corp does when they get a request like this is to "google it" and see if the person is discussing it on the internet. :D

Good for them. Exactly as I was describing my experience with Mazda. Split the difference, it winds up costing Toyota basically nothing (at corporate cost) and everyone goes away happy. It would be indescribably stupid of them, given that they see Hybrid Synergy Drive as transformative, and as the driver for future growth, to do otherwise.

The take-away lesson here is, if you feel you have a reasonable case, do NOT allow a dealer level service rep to blow you off. Take it up the chain, and let it be known that you can either be mollified and retained as a life-long customer, or disappointed and turned into a Honda or Ford driving bad press machine.

Barney, could you please fill us in (in detail) as to the sequence of events in your four days of "bouncing around", who you spoke to, and what you needed to actively do to drive events to an amicable resolution?

BARNEY: Could you please tell us about your driving habits over the last 4 years. Toyotas reputation here is good, but I want to know how you drove the car. Please tell us about some of your driving distances week in and week out.
