New 11 prius battery problems. Need advice.dr pruis test run 48%

No coolant leak yet. Maybe compression. Engine runs fast . Good power

 

If I will keep the car only 9 months. Is it worth a shot of 1k for rebuilt with 12 months warranty. I will not keep car long. I need more space like a camry

 

It's an 2011. No problem with arm rests. Least of my problems. Either flip to a dealer for 3k as it runs great and looks great. I paid 6k. In June as in PA car prices are still hi.
Add 3k maybe if lucky a corolla..

I will clean it. I have a weak battery as per Dr pruis. The bad test was last night. In warmer weather battery seems better.

Thanks, for all the advice, i got the car in june with 192k, have 201k now on it. interior good body good. everything works new tires.
when the car was brought 6k as cars are hi here. so many of these around.
it had a small vibration at take off in eco mode. like a bad coil. cvc shalft or motor mount. i got avg 39 mpg, when warm out higher. in sunner last year on long hot roads of 35 mph, i hit 50+.
i read up EGR carbon's . did the intake only. motor got smoother but not perfect. put 8k on uber,car has power. and smooth idle. now
when the motor kicks on some rattling..i have that pruis bad engine noise before cleaning the manifold. it fixed the major noise than now it does a small vibration.
no coolant leak's.
my battery charges up now very quick and than looses charge fast.
no check engine lights or code's.
i see when battery gets low. motor has some small power lose . or vibration..did not have this before.
ok my choices. 61 years around cars.
#1 sell the car to trade in add $3 k get a gas car. used are still really hi cost here for hi miles cars.
# 2 right away clean the egr- clean cooler, prepare for a head gasket and timing chain. also water pump while thier. and fix the battery $1000 or so or just drive it to the lights come on. engine uses no oil in 5k. the recon of the battery may be headache for me.
the steering is good. suspension decent. tire wear good. only problem is the size is small. gas per week is great..$25-$50.
sorry if i am over and over new to the site. has alot of toyota's all gas.
i posted on my phone big mistake. either way today 2" of rain but during the week . i will clean the cooler and EGR. anyway. cheap and simple.
thank you all for any advice. has to rid the car of 200k to buy a headache at gas model $5000 140k miles or more, in pa here cars are we have alot of junk yards here for parts if needed. the avatar shows a bad rear bumper rt. side. got the new one painted in my garage..must push out area of taillight a small amount..easy..i am more body guy than engine guy..but 3 years of tech school and 15 years at dealer doing body work not mechanical.

hi guys after looking at used cars $5000 here buys me crap. this car is worth a $2000 investment if need be at this time as tax season destroys cheaper cars.
so deal with battery last. clean egr and cooler now. plan on head gasket water pump and timing chain is i do the gasket..no sense leaving a 200k chain with a new head gasket..this car has been earning me an income for 10 solid month's no troubles..

 

I got like 5 in a 2 block are all area hi miles. One like 320k.

 

In Philadelphia. It's not to bad on rust. I have none on any of my cars. Just never let salt or road trash never sit on the body.

Just back from the Philippines. They use for 6 passengers Toyota rush.. like rav 4..
Maybe it's just the pruis.
I will gamble on high Mike's Toyota instead of a dodge dart or chrysler 200. Just saying..

 

Update. egr valve stuck open with carbon. cleaned it and cooler. replace spark plus awhile back . all looks good.
car in econ mode runs faster and more power. the car always had great engine power.
the bad. once i had that nasty engine noise . i cleaned the manifold . never loud again.
but...but..always had a small vibration as engine starts..like a mini noise of the big noise.
i think a few things..no coolant leak's
coil's packs maybe..injector's maybe
last compression loss from bad head gasket...
overall the car in 5k + miles @200k burns very little oil. half court.
a few question's if head gasket is bad and you got great power . and good idle, do you guys just replace the gasket or send head out.
reguarding gasket and timing gears.
does any one just buy the felpro head gasket and get the whole kit ckeap with aftermarket gaskets and buy 1 felpro.
what can i do to check coil's..on my nissan if 1 was really bad..you knew it. i think as 9k on the car myself. maybe a weak coil but under a load. its great..
how can i check injector's.
and the small virbration when starting up..very long time it has been doing it...can it hurt the engine..can i do a regular compression test on the engine in maintaince mode.
i am not keeping this car longer than say christmas,,no codes or lights on.

as far as the battery. i will worry that later..drove today fixed sunday. want to see if mpg is better..it has to be avg 38-40 running it hard in power mode.
