LOL! I'm going to retrofit a fog light and stick it in the Harley if that isn't sorted out soon! :D

Could you keep the rain for a weekend so that I can at least get the cheap ebay projector fogs into the car?!??

I gotta see what's up with TRS too about the Blazers. They claimed Tuesday, I think, they should be in.

    Good news

Yes, I was probably not clear, it should have read: "we (as in the doctor and me) stopped the pills".
A possibly delaying therapy does not outweigh an aggressive and uncontrollable skin-rash.

that sounds like good news justin, and i like a doctor who recommends a second opinion over one who doesn't think it's necessary. car payments vs the alternative? i hope you have many, many more!

Hey, Justin! Great to hear that you may not need any more chemo. I hope that is the decision that holds, and that you remain free of cancer (and any other illness) until you die peacefully in your sleep at the age of 104. I'll be anxiously waiting to hear the results of the second opinion.

    Update Time!

So the second opinion went well. The specialist agreed with everything my current and past medical team has done. He felt there is no use subjecting me to more chemotherapy so it is time to remove the port from my chest and take me off of the blood thinners. I'm fairly excited to be able to use ibuprofen again. lol

I had a CT scan last Friday and it came back stable. That means there has always been a suspicious spot on my liver but it has been there since my first scans back in 2009 and there has been no change since then. So for now everything looks good. This is great considering I have had zero chemo since November of last year. :)

I'm scheduled to have the port removed this Friday and a colonoscopy the following Friday. After those procedures it is just a matter of regular scanning. :)

Not to be a pessimistic humbug....but why remove the port prior to the colonoscopy? Just on the off chance that they find something abnormal on the scope and you need the port again. Just wondering if you'd asked that question.

In any case, I'd actually thought of emailing you over the past few days as it'd been a while since I saw an update. Glad to hear things look so good. 7 months clear post chemo is really great news. Can't wait until I read your update in this thread in 5 years!
