Agree on white--though to really appreciate it, it does need to be the right light. The first one I saw was on a city side street at night under a harsh point-source street light and the way it shimmered was jaw-dropping. We oogled as we drove by slowly. Later I saw another on a cloudy day and it was blah. I actually went back to the Toyota website wondering if there were two whites! Nope. Then, the third time was on a showroom floor and again, amazingly cool looking. If I had been patient enough to wait for the color I wanted, that would have been it. Also agree on black, it just hides everything. Even when asking for "first available", I said anything but black. will
I've seen a few now in WI. Have never seen a Crown outside of a dealership though. Our local dealer has been sitting on the same Crown since March now. Other near-by dealers also have them sitting on their lots with no interest. Doesn't seem to be any kind of market for that car.
The Crown is a pricey replacement for the Avalon. Those that would consider it are probably at the Lexus dealer. The wagon model should get more interest.
Prior to scheming to buy my own, back in April before the stop-sale... there was maybe 1 I'd seen here, in Maui County, HI. Now there are several -- but seeing another one's still rare enough to crane my neck. There's 1 Prime hiding here somewhere as well, an SE in red -- just missed test-driving it too... There're two areas of Maui up higher in elevation, where all the real-estate climbers and celeb toffs live -- I bet more HEVS and Primes up there of all models, than down at sea-level where us poor people still buy Tacomas on 84-month terms, or need Sienna HEVs as taxis
