Nerfer: Thanks for the suggestion - I've updated my information. As I'm not a frequent poster, I never thought to do it before.

I'm really not a troll. As I explained in my last post, I'm looking to replace my 2004 with either a used 2009 or a 2010 and when I shop for cars, I always look for potential problem areas first. The negatives I listed in my original post were posted on Edmunds by the relative few folks that had problems/concerns with their vehicles.

I'm sorry if anyone took offense at my post. I'll try to be more diplomatic in the future.

dont worry about it. everyone has an opinion and there is nothing wrong with what you posted. every point there IS something that someone here has had an issue with so your concern is valid.

in any car, there is always a risk. what is perfectly fine with someone may not be at all what you want.

i STRONGLY suggest renting one for an extended period of time. at least a week. drive it, get to know it. sure its not a cheap option but buying a car never is. $500 is a pretty cheap way of boosting the odds of a happy owner experience in your favor

I would absolutely agree with poor seat comfort and terrible headrests. I would give anything to switch out the seats in my V for my Mazda3 seats. Extremely stiff ride too, even without any additional air pressure... I dread going over the speedbumps at work.. at 5mph I am airborne 2x day.

Sometimes I've seen this, but would need to measure with a t-square.

Please. Talk about an exaggeration. 5mph and you're airborne? What are you, made of Helium? :D

I have the Canadian tech package with leather seats and lumbar support, very similar to your IV. I've always said that this model pulls the Prius almost right up there with Lexus in comfort and quality. The extra $ is totally worth it.

I'll go along with the squeaks and rattles complaint. Ours has more of them than my 6 yr old diesel truck - particularly in the upper center console and something in the rear (which could even be the license plate vibrating against the deck - need to check that).

We bought the Prius for basically one reason - mileage. And, it delivers in spades!

I've never used them, but I wouldn't know about others. That's why it wasn't a problem when I went to buy my Prius!
