Needed: OEM cat c theft deterrent solution; already had 1 stolen

The dealer installed the Miller Cat shield on my 2021 Prime.

 

I put a Miller Cat on my 22 prime, took about 30-45 minutes - nice unit, quick delivery, had them throw in extra security bolts which they did - no problem with heat and it's been on for a couple of months now - no rattles either if you put the foam on right

Get a tremor switch added to your car alarm or install a cheap secondary system. The combination of car alarming and a cheap CAT shield should deter someone from going after your CAT. The alarm will sound as soon as they lift the car - when they see the CAT shield; they'll most likely drop the car and run. Look for an easier target.

 

The https://catclamp.com/media/ Cat Clamp looks like a good option. A sawzall won't cut through loose stainless cables like it can cut through an exhaust pipe or a thin sheet metal guard. To cut the cables a thief would need to have stolen a cut-off disc and a cordless angle grinder--possible but not common. No guard is perfect--you just need something to make stealing your catcon more trouble than the next car.
