Well, it looks like you have several in this area - the Midwest. So if you get near Fishers, IN, I am just a hair south in Indianapolis (46237). I'd love to have you stop by (or will meet you somewhere) if it is convenient. I put my name on the EBH group buy list today.

I am originally from Cincy, and would be happy to drive there as well. I also have a red Prius, so I am not sure who we may "freak out" by having a Red Prius reunion, but it would be fun to try!

I am planning a week off in mid-September (Gatlinburg vaca), also I work every weekend, so week days work best or me. If this trip doesn't work out, I'll try to catch you some other time, hopefully before winter! I could always plan a road trip myself to Chicago.

Well, I just received 200 feet of wire loom from E-bay, other supplies are ready and packed. Now we just need the block heaters.

How about Long Island, NY. A place to stay at my house would be available.

I am lost here. I know I must do a search. But... block heater from people in
NC and Flroida. I am used to hearing of block heaters in the NE and Canada to
    stop freezing.

If it is to keep things warm to keep mpg up on short trips, let this Va Beach gal know.

    Thanks!

Dumb newbie has read & does understand that it is indeed for fuel mileage for us southerners.

However, I cannot find a reference to the installation instructions.

Can anyone who can help send me a quick link to the installation instructions so my husband
can see if this is something he can do. He is a very good mechanic, but if something needs to
be up on a lift, that usually defeats us.

    THANKS!

Here is what you seek. You might even want to PM Green Hokie to see if he would lend a hand (and arm).

Hi Wayne, any chance you'll be making your way to Minneapolis/St Paul on your earlier trip West? I have three cars that are part of the EBH group buy and very likely two others as well.

EDIT - Sorry, I just found your post for the West Coast tour. Will post there. Although technically, we are on both sides of the Mississippi.

I'm in Richmond, VA.... if you end up swinging by for the Northern VA guys listed in this thread, please let me know. I really want to install the EBH, but I am a bit apprehensive.

I am in Ann Arbor, Michigan. If there were a way to reach out to others in metro Detroit, then possibly several cars could have the installation done.

    Rookie writing in.

    Wayne,

When you return from your whirlwind tour, please let me know if I can coordinate an install with you. I'd be pleased to drive all the way from the western suburbs to SW Chicago. Just let me know when and where.

    Thanks!

    Hi Wayne,

I'm planning the Georgetown KY plant tour, Columbus Day, Oct. 8. If you'll be in the area, we might catch anyone who shows up with a Prius and a heater to install. I'll bring my tools and all it takes is a shade tree . . . <grins>

Toyota has a Camry assembly plant in Georgetown KY. I'll be scheduling a morning, plant tour so folks within 'day trip' distance can see how Toyota does it. We did it last year and I had a ball. Since it is in the fall, the weather is cooler.

If things work out, I may bring some other toys for the curious.

    Bob,

It looks like we may try to do a mass install that weekend. He is the PM Wayne sent me on the install/Plant visit.

I will volunteer my place for the install. I live about 50 minutes north of Georgetown in Kentucky close to the Cincinnati area. There is room for at least 6 cars plus garage space. Also I have 4 extra bedrooms if anyone needs lodging.

Also, I love to go on the tour if there is room.

    Hi Wayne,

I'm in South Bend, IN, but I have a very screwy schedule this fall with lots of travel. I could drive to you if needed. We can coordinate via PM if you wish. No rush -- the snow won't start flyin' for at least 2 months. :D

OK, back from the West road trip. It's now time to plan the east swing. I have to plan things a little different since 1. my vacation time is running out and 2. no family will be with me.

JimboK and the Virginia crew want to do a group install on September 29th. Sounds perfect, everyone in the region who can come to the meet-up please do so, it does make it easier.

Also bestmapman is looking to get people in the Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio area (and whoever else) together the Columbus Day weekend for a combination block heater install and tour of the Georgetown Camry plant c.o. Robert K. Wilson (maybe we'll have some good turnout).

It looks like I'll also have to get to New England, PA, NC, DE, Long Island and FL.

So I'll start making a tour list, looks like betwen Sept. 29th and Oct. 8th.

Anyone else who wants to hop on board just say so now before the map is final.

Also since the distances are closer, I may be showing up in the middle of the day and doing the install at your place of work or wherever your car is. If that is a problem let me know.

    Wayne

PS...Anyone from the Chicago/Milwaukee area there will be two install meet-ups, one in Milwaukee and one in Chicago.

unfortunately we are currently without facility to check your alignment pre-and post-adjustment... this may change by the time you get your trip planned, we're not sure. i'll keep ya in the loop.

When is the install meet-up in the Chicago area?
