Found this out while pluged into a charge port 220 station the other day...

If you are charging on 220 and are fully charged then turn on the A/C remotly, the A/C draw is less then the charge rate, so when you turn off the A/C and unplug the car you will be at 100%.

But on 110 I have found that letting the A/C run for 5 minutes remotly after being fully charged will require about 10 minutes to top the battery back off after the A/C is shut off.

I have an L2 charger and after fully charging then turning on the A/C remotely, it charges another 10 minutes after the remote A/C turns off.

wow, i let mine go the full 10 minutes. Mine is in a parking garage so maybe the compressor does not have to work hard enough to overlap the 220.

Ultraturtle - or anyone - so Toyota makes a donut spare, with a cover, for the PiP? If so it would probably ease my mind to have it in the car on long trips only - other times would just leave in garage....may be better solution than "fix a flat" that comes with the car....at least you can use the donut to get you to the repair shop.

I could be wrong, but I think Ultraturtle just put their own in with a cover on it. I am unaware of Toyota making one for the PiP as there wouldn't be a place to store it anyway other than strapping it down to the rear cargo deck. It's easy enough to just get your own donut spare, get a cover and strap it down, and cheaper than buying one from Toyota anyway even if they did offer one.

Thanks Mark - what size "donut" tire (and rim) would I get? I guess not all donut tires and rims are the same size? Sorry - just never been in the "donut" tire market before - but welcome the POM (peace of mind) for longer travel events that having one in the car would provide.

Not quite sure to be honest, but start a conversation with ultraturtle and ask what they went with (a conversation on here is like a PM on most sites, the forum upgrade changed the name).

I found this post from ultraturtle showing a pic of their setup, they put it behind the drivers seat. No spare tire? | Page 6 | PriusChat

Edit, a few post down in that thread ultraturtle says
They also say where and how much to get the tote for to cover it in the linked thread.

I bought a 125/70/d16 from a late model Corolla, bolts on just fine. $35, at least it will get me to town to get the orginal tire fixed.

For anyone who cares, the new AT&T mobile share plans include wireless (wifi or bluetooth) hotspot as part of the package price. We had 2 iphones on a family plan with 550 shared minutes, unlimited texting, one 300MB and one 3GB data package. New plan is about same price for unlimited talk and text, and 4GB of shared data which includes hotspot so we can finally run the ipad/laptop off the cell data without paying extra.

Thanks Paradox, for looking that up. I would also recommend you purchase a spare from 2010 or newer (Prius, Corolla, Matrix, or Scion), as spares prior to that have a slightly smaller diameter, and might unduly stress your drivetrain. Another reason to get a more recent model spare is the life of the rubber. It deteriorates over time, and (unlike your main tires) may need to be called upon for duty for the useful life of the car.

Also, on CrewDog's suggestion, I put the spare on the right rear floor so as not to block the battery vent. That location has the added advantage of better weight distribution and frees up the left rear seat for more storage.

Finally, I'd recommend you secure the spare to the vehicle to reduce risk of injury in a collision. Mine is tied with a rope looped around the right rear bench seat attach point, and through the lower two spare bolt holes. Make sure to get your hands as close as possible to the front hook before pulling up, so as not to deform the seat cushion frame:

I stuff a small compressor (10 amp max - I learned the hard way), plug kit, trash bag, nitrile gloves, and hand wipes in the cavity created between the spare and the seat, so everything is ready to go for a quick repair or tire change.

What on earth does this have to do with the PiP? Please tell me your account was hacked by an AT&T executive.

Earlier in the thread it was noted that the PiP Entune system could be set up to use an iphone's cellular internet connection via bluetooth, instead of having to plug it in every time. It was discussed that the downside to that is you had to pay $20/month extra to AT&T to enable this capability on an iphone. Just updating that conversation for those who want to use this feature but not enough to pay $20 a month for it.

I couldn't. A person I spoke with at Entune said the iPhone 5 needs to be plugged into the USB port. I do however, use Bluetooth to play music wirelessly most of the time. I don't care much for Pandora. I use Verizon.

I guess I do too, but it took me forever to use the proper buttons. I kept screwing up the radio station before getting it right. I thought my wife was going to throttle me. :)

    yes you can
    see the FAQ
to answer the pricing question: Tethering on AT&T requires enrollment in the 5 GB data plan, which is $50/mo. alternatively, you can sign up for one of the new Mobile Share plans, which include tethering "for free".

i didn't know until yesterday that this was obscure, but apparently, some here don't know that there are two different ration screens and you can toggle back and forth by pushing the display reset and reset them separately by holding down reset for the ratio screen you are viewing.

Oh BISCO. I think that this explanation needs to be expanded for this old fart.
What ratio and reset screen are you referring to?
The conversation before yours was related to tethering on the iPhone and their wireless service. Thank you
