Can you please explain what you mean by that? I've got some audio books on my ipod and I'd like to scroll through an individual section, but haven't been able to figure it out - besides unplugging the ipod and scrolling on the device itself.

 

you just hold down on the actual up or down arrow for a few seconds and it will start to scroll

 

Thanks! On the Prius Plug-in, the "mode up/down arrows" that you referred to are labeled "Seek" and "Track".

 

seek and track are on the dash, mode arrows are on the left side of the steering wheel next to volume. i did find that the scroll doesn't work with cd's, don't know about ipod.

 

Thanks for pointing that out! I tried it with my ipod, and both the mode arrows, and the Seek / Track buttons performed the same scrooling function when I pushed on them continuously.

 

I do like the steering wheel button layout much better on the 2012 over the 2011.

 

My daughter calls that her wedding ring light. She told a friend of hers that the light was for her wedding ring. I think the friend believed her and was impressed.

I do the same thing as fberger. Works every time, of course, provided that I can stop somewhere convenient to turn off the car.

 

It is not a defroster. It is an antenna. Some of the conductors in the upper part of the rear hatch window are also used as antennas. The roof mount antenna is for the cell phone and GPS.

 

A bit over half of it fits, with the top of the spare about 11 inches above the rest of the deck - a bit cumbersome to get around. I keep mine (in a cover) behind the front passenger seat, strapped to the right rear rear seat cushion's attach point.

 

The thickness of the tire is OK, it's the wheel hub that stops it from going down into the well. I keep mine strapped in the cargo area with the strap furnished with the car. Why they would include that when you would not have a wheel to put there is beyond me, since they don't include a donut spare to replace a road wheel. Having the tire in the cargo area is a bit of a pain when grocery shopping, etc., but worth it to have a usable spare tire without waiting on a tow truck and losing time at the dealer.

 

You are right, but for some reason she was wearing it on her right hand. I'll have to ask about that...

In other news...a foldable recumbent trike fits nicely with the rear seats down...more room than I expected...

 

Don't know for the PiP, but for normal 3. gen VSC light comes on if you accelerate and tires slip (traction control), beeping (with VSC light) comes on when stability program kicks in eg. on corners.

 

Also comes on and beeps when you use the hill start assist. When at a stop on a hill press the brake hard for like 2 seconds, it will beep and light will come on then when you take your foot off the brake the car won't roll backwards for a little bit giving you time to step on the gas without holding the brake.

 

I've walked away from my car a few times while charging (for free) at few public chargers during lunch and wanted to know how far from done it was, from the cars perspective, after returning to the car...

Do not put foot on brake
Push the On/Off button once, this turns on radio (like accessory mode)
Push the On/Off button again after waiting a few seconds
The display will show you an estimate of time left to complete the charge
