The hood has TWO places to insert, one for high and one for very high, almost vertical! Impossible for MOST people to hit thier heads.

A major improvement over my 2005, the height is now 1-2" higher, I can now clear those stupid parking cement blocks! My 05 looked like beavers had been chewing on it. :D

After scratching my head for a week trying to figure out why the A/C button on the remote would not turn on the air conditioning as I approached the car, I took the unmanly action of actually reading the manual.

Loving the car's feature of turning off whatever headlights you use when powering down, my initial habit had been to leave the Headlight Switch in the Daytime Running Lights on position. Turns out, they must be off in order for the remote A/C function to work. While it does not appear to be a hard requirement in the initial system operation description, a later section states "The Remote Air Conditioning System may stop operating temporarily if other features that use electricity (for example, the seat heater, lights, windshield wipers) are in operation or if the charge level of the 12-volt battery becomes low."

    Operating conditions

The system will only operate if all of the following conditions are met:

The shift position is in P.

    The “POWER†switch is OFF.

    All doors are closed.

    The hood is closed.

The brake pedal is not being depressed.

    When leaving the vehicle

Check that the headlights are switched to either off or “AUTOâ€.

Check that the wiper switch is turned off.

Check that all windows are closed.

I believe it's a defogger. It's in the driver's line of sight to a blind spot; the one of the left side is not.

Anyone notice there's a little spotlight on the ceiling that shines down onto the shifter knob? Only visible at night. Kind of a neat little effect.

    Regards,
    Chris

Our Honda Pilot has the same thing. (You can do lots of things with a Prius, but hauling an RV trailer is not one of them.)

The power windows actually slow down as the glass nears it's up and down limit, so they don't bottom or top out with much force. That's cool.

I have always have my headlight stalk switch in the DRL mode, and I had no problem activating the AC via the remote key fob. I did multiple tests to make sure.

I knew this... only because I was looking for a place to put a decal that I like but I didn't want to put it on the defogger wires. I was going to put one on each of the rear side windows until I saw that. You beat me to listing it in here though

The following link indicates that there is an in-glass AM/FM antenna in addition to the roof-mounted antenna, so I'm voting that it's an antenna!

The Emergency Response Guide revealed several items I'd overlooked!

    Cool!

    1) Lumbar support…

    2) Telescoping steering wheel. (I'd noticed the vertical adjustment, but not the Z axis!)

Since my Gen II had neither of those features, I didn't even notice until I read this! (And yes, I did RTFM! - It's on my iPad in PDF form.)

These are the kinds of surprises I like.

I give up. Where is the Lumbar support? Is it adjustable?

    It's the circular button.

How about that! I had go to try it out and it works. I was thinking about getting a support but now I won't have to!

And I also read (skimed) the entire manual but missed them.
