My wife picked up an 2010 Insight, I picked up a Prius pkg III

    I agree with you, coming from a Boxster S, except that I prefer NA engines and dislike turbos, especially AUDI/VW TFSI which I owned.
    I drive the Prius in a more relaxed way and I actually enjoy this new approach to driving. And I have to say despite the 15'' rims it corners quite well, at least more that I expected. I drive in ECO mode, because I really have a heavy foot and I managed to achieve great mileage for my first 270 km (54 MPG). Very happy.
    I think your old driving habits won't come back very often, the new fun factor is maximizing fuel economy now! And if you really have to push it, well the Prius is not THAT slow.

    Slow is the new fast.

    yeah, if factor in interests,sale tax.. etc and using the current interest rate if i end up finacing it, the lease is about $500 more.

    I'd assume the interest rate would be whatever the rate is at the time i buy. are you implying I can lock in now or??? the good thing is Toyota offers new car loan rate if i end up financing it through Toyota.

    I tried looking on my contract, but there's like 3 different cap costs, i.e. gross cap, gross cap itemized, and one like lease terms based agreed price or something like that... sorry it's my first time leasing a car, no idea wha they are... which one are you referring to?

    The biggest difference would be the obvious noise and vibrations when the gas motor kicks in. Also Auto stop function seems very clunky.
    Long story short, with my Prius, it’s hard to notice what’s being used since it’s so smooth and you can barely hear the gas motor nor are there any vibrations.
    With the insight, you can hear the gas motor and feel the vibrations. And I mentioned the auto stop is clunky, by that I mean when it shuts off or turn back on, it’s no different than a regular car shuts off or turn on. It’s as apparent.
