I don't use the pocket at all, so I won't miss it.
The lovely weather in New Hampshire with the snow and rain getting into it makes me not want to put anything that swings outside into the door.
My wife tends to use the door pockets to full capacity. So she'll really miss them with the Prius. But she has her car anyway.

ROFL - That's what I use the door pockets for too!! It's okay Dave - they come in handy for runny noses, leaky coffee mugs and all sorts of things. (But I reckon it is a commentary on diet - oops!)

Door pockets for the gloves, small bottle of purell disinfectant and a cloth to dust off the car. The passenger side holds a secondary sunshade (for the side windows) and a map.

    Hi All,

I use the door pockets for maps, of course.

They needed to put a bottle holder in the door pocket, because the center console uses up so much space. The center console is just not a form-follows-fucntion thing.

Pat, Does the dash get pretty dusty between traffic lights? You would keep pretty busy in NYC.

I use the door pockets to keep my folding shopping bags in.
When I go shopping, I just grab a bag or two from out of the pocket on my way out of the car.

I can agree with getting rid of them, since we tend to stuff them with crap. Get a trash bag, and throw that stuff away or clip on a bag behind the passenger seat. Better yet, get a car office organizer to put all that nasty stuff we really don't need in, then take it in the house.

Less weight better gas mileage, end of story.

On my '07 TCH (and previous Grand Am) I also use the driver's door pocket to store a compact umbrella. When the winter snow times arrive, I swap out the umbrella with small ice scrappers.

I use my door pockets on my Saab 900 for all kinds of things: chapstick, pens, extra pair of readers & case, extra key, extra sunglasses, hand lotion, etc.
