My Prius's Red Light Trigger

    I recommend you do what I've done. I have vowed to not take any job unless it is a downhill commute both ways. So far no luck.

    I have a similar problem. I do everything I can to let people pass me and like you I get stuck at most traffic lights I encounter.

    BUT it gets worse I'm usually end up being the first car in line.

    Don't you know it that by the time the light changes I have acquired a whole line of vehicles behind me. Which leads to a whole lot of people who are not happy with my rate of acceleration once the light changes to green.:eek:

    Back in the 50s and 60s, with no computerization of the traffic control system whatsoever, many large and medium sized cities had their traffic lights timed so that if one traveled at a certain speed, then he/she could breeze through most traffic lights without ever having to stop. It was a pleasure to drive then. Now, with the most sophisticated electronics in the world, our traffic control system does not seem to have a good grasp of flow at all.
