I paid $330. I've been taking all my cars to the same tint shop for the past 25 years. They tend to charge a little more but it's worth it. Quality is top notch and that's more important to me.
It's comforting to know that if you have an issue with a tint job after a couple of years, that the place is still in business and will stand behind their product. Worth a little more up-front.
I don't think so. Looking at my car before it was tinted and after, the plastic panel on the rear looks the same color, but it looks better with the tinted windows. By the way, depending on the light of day or night, the car can appear more blue or green. Love that sea glass pearl!
I was at the Atlanta car show today and they had just one Prius (no Primes) it was sea glass pearl. Looked really nice. In that lighting it had the green tint.
Just bought a Prius Four, sea glass color, last night. Everything's a big upgrade from our 2010 Prius Three, except for storage space. Very excited about an upcoming road trip, since it seems the mileage is significantly better. (Also looking forward to the radar cruise control and playlist playing while keeping Qi charged.) Wasn't sure we'd like the color -- previously had the deep blue -- but it really is nice in the sunlight, and it's not super-common. Looks minty green to my eyes. Entune and the nav system are real disappointments on the nice big screen. Sort of like having the latest flat screen, HD, HDR TV with rabbit ears. (Thinking of writing a letter to Toyota: We LOVE our dealer, but by the time we buy our next car, we'll probably have moved and other brands will rise up the options list. If Entune 3.0 users don't get a free upgrade to full Car Play support, Toyota will drop down the options list. Not going to cry and scream over one feature, but years of that annoyance will definitely curb my enthusiasm.)
Toyota is begrudgingly moving to Apple Play. I'm sure by the time you wear this one out you will get that option...
I love the color. We had a gen 3 prius with that color and I got compliments all the time. It's very unique. Question, can you get it with the darker shade interior or must you get tan or light grey? Welcome to the chat! Drive safe and enjoy! Stephen
I believe the 3 interior colors are tan, light grey/white & black. I found the black made the interior seem too dark so I ended up with the tan.
That's really nice with the two tone look. Do you have a photo of the black too? I have read that the white trim below in center has a black inlay.
But in the glass, not the tack-on aftermarket. I know people like it, but personally, if I was looking at used cars, if it had aftermarket tint I'd pass. Again, lots like it.
Thanks again! @Prodigyplace . That's really helpful to see. I wonder if the 19 models will have different options for the "pasty white" trim on the steering wheel and center console. We shall see.
My center console is matte black. Steering wheel and shifter trim are white on my 2017 trim two. I wish they did not have shiny black dash trim. There are black trim pieces are available but the steering wheel one is shiny black.
