Sorry to hear about your accident and glad no one from either party was seriously injured. Whiplash is a bitch, though, as you will doon see.

Would you mind stating how fast the rover was going when it hit you and were you at a total stop? Also, do any bags deploy in an accident like this?

I'm so sorry to hear about the accident, but so glad to hear that you were able to get out of the car and walk away. Here's hoping you don't get hit with whiplash after the fact but it's always a possibility. You are right about the Prius just being a car (although to many of us here on PC, it can be much more than "just a car"). Sounds like another case where the Prius took the brunt of the hit and the passengers were kept safe inside due to the well-designed car and its safety features. I hope everything gets worked out for you in the end, both financially and physically. :)

My condolences as well. Yet another example of why there should be a bumper height requirement for ALL vehicles on the road, not just cars. The Rover is too high so he destroys your car while sustaining limited (from the picture) damage. I think his insurance co should have to cover the $3150 tax credit if it can be determined that your car would have sustained minimal damage had the bumper been in line.
