My 7k miles Prius has broken down on me !

    Holy crap. Sounds like they just kept changing tires until
    they found the flat one. Typical, and leaves us none the wiser
    as to what the actual *problem* was.

    From the looks of that scanned receipt, you asked them to replace the ECU for a one-time goodwill, and they complied. After that, they drove it around a while and it didn't fail, so they assumed what they did fixed it.

    Sounds pretty sketchy to me - did they check the cable and the plate...? Because neither are mentioned on that receipt.

    Thanks for the info, I took a picture, not too good, of the plate of my 2004 prius, sure nuf, it is backwards. My problems of VSC light hasn't came back on since temporarily pushing the cable a little. the cable isn't pierced, but an indentation can be seen.
