My 2023 Prius Prime EV Mode Costs

My electricity bill indicates how much I’m billed at off peak, mid peak, peak rates.

It also shows how much I used during the same period in the previous year.

Mid and peak stayed about the same after I got the rav4prime.

Off peak usage SKYROCKETED… but the RATE is low enough that I don’t really feel it.

 

I track my rav4prime costs in an excel spreadsheet. I have accurate #s for the cost and quantity of gasoline I buy.

Where it gets a bit more hypothetical is the electrical calculation. Probably 97% of my charging is done off peak, so that’s the rate I use for my electricity costs, 8.2 cents/kWh, but the slightly pessimistic consumption rate of 20.1 kWh /100 km. I’m currently getting 19.9.
