The Gen I's are endearing to those who have owned them huh?

I have found your statement to be true.
I do think, though, that if given the opportunity to own a Prius C, those would fall into similar favor with me. :)

I love my Gen I. I was just telling my wife last week that its still my favorite car to drive (sounds sick doesnt' it).

Another man listening to his wifey, they call that Hen Pecked.

The big picture perhaps she just cares but also sounds like she is not aware of the safety capacity of a Prius.

Maybe you should stand your ground but than again maybe life is not so bad in a Lexus albeit a very old one.

The Lexus is great. I just find myself missing my old car. (and fuel economy..hehe)

Seats are funny things. I have many thoughts on them. I need to articulate those one day.

    RIP Prius.
    Your Epitaph.

Sorry, I don't think I ever replied with photos. Not sure how to embed photos here. So I uploaded them. Hopefully that works for others. Since the 2000 Lexus ES once it started getting some rust, my mom passed and I drove their 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan. Now, I have a 2017 Honda CR-V. Just logged the 100th fuel up at 31,600 miles and averages 30.4 mpg. I am seriously considering a new Chevrolet Corvette (2020/2021) for my next car.

I am blessed to have survived the Con-Way semi truck driver plowing his tandem trailer monstrosity into my backside.

Glad you weren't hurt! Gotta say, if a truck that size hit my car and the damage was that minimal, I definitely wouldn't think "I need a bigger car"... good luck with the CR-V and maybe that Vette!

    This is awesome!!:D
Is there any chance that this sets a PriusChat world record for updates?

My brother in law has a CR-V and loves it. My wife is crushing on the RAV4, so it sounds like I may soon be heading in that direction also.

I believe that the battery pack, wedged in behind the backseat like they are, was the reason the truck did not flatten me like a pancake. Very rigid! and the new battery had JUST been replaced for free by Toyota, too!

I also believe that to stay happy, I had to get a bigger car... keep wife happy. :)
