This is my second sighting in North Long Beach—a silver 2023 Prius LE. My first one was of a gray LE on the freeway in Santa Monica earlier this year. I am still not impressed, especially with the rear view. When I used to see Gen 4 Prius Prime from behind, I used to have a wow moment at its great taillight design. Gen 5 looks so ordinary. Perhaps it looks a lot better from the side.
I guess you could say they have a family resemblance. Like "3rd cousin once removed." But in person, one looks like it's worth 2x the other. Perhaps that's why some folks are willing to pay such a markup.
On our morning dog walk. License plate holder says Open Road Toyota in Port Moody. A Prius Prime, with 17” rims with the plastic wheel covers. Just checked their new car inventory: ONE Tacoma, lol.
Walking through a public parking lot to get to my car I walked past a vehicle and turning around saw this beautiful pearly white sports car. WOW. Didn't see a name but came to mind it must be a Tesla. Walked behind the car and saw it P R I U S Two weeks later I drove my white with black interior Prius off the sales lot. My avatar picture shows the car one hour after it was delivered off the truck. If I had not walked through that parking lot ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Someone else's first sighting. I was sitting in our car while my partner ran into the store for some bread and this guy came up and when he realized someone was in the car, tapped on the glass to say hi and explain that it was the first one he'd seen. For all I know, he's on here, because he's clearly an enthusiast.
I just got back from a trip to Cali, where I spent four days in LA and then another three in SF. A buddy I was traveling with, who lives in Cali, is on the market for a new car, and I was talking to him about the new Prius, as I'd just had my new '23 XLE AWD for a bit over a week before the trip. The whole time we were out there, I had been keeping my eyes on the streets seeing if I could find one to point out to him, but in the end, we could never find any -- it wasn't until after we'd finally separated in SF that I finally saw three in one day! My other buddy, who is on the waiting list for a Maverick, caught this moment where our respective (prospective) rare vehicles were both spotted next to each other while we were on our way to one of our final destinations for the week:
Is that like, something people don't like it being called or something? Pls understand am backwoods Kentuckian Had a lot of fun though.
