Pulley bolt, counter clockwise.



I used the ac compressor bolts to extract the pulley, thread and length were perfect.

 

Use a 1/2 electric impact gun, you will not have to brace the motor with anything. I recommend impact sockets for any removal of things torqued down more than 150+ foot pounds of torque on the gun. This impact gun is sweet because you can use it to rotate your tires too. I love mine.

 

Yes sir that's the way to fly, I have an 110v dewalt 1/2 impact.
That would be in my right hand on an engine tear down. Hell with turning wrenches. It's coming off lol....
If that don't break it loose your in trouble. Worlds best tire changer.

That Ryobi looks sweet though. I bought a new Ryobi electric 1/2 hammer drill. It's been flawless so far And I have abused it.

 

And yes 150+ lbs on an impact tends to make sockets explode.

It would be better if it was brushless. I have milwaukee m12, m18 and ryobi tools @ home. This is what I would get next but I wish it had 150, 300, 500, 700 and 1000+ foot lbs torque settings. The m18 2767 is just too powerful.

Any bolt with other than the usual thread direction I'm sure would be labelled as such.
