because of the uaw strike, i took another look at the bz4x. it is growing on me, but the $550./mo. 3 year lease frightened me away again. and that includes the $7,500. tax credit.

    Well done!
    • Using adjacent lane beyond the end of the SuperCharger line.
    • Did not block another SuperCharger lane.
I predict 6', CCS-1 extension cords will become 'a thing.' Heavy, yes, but avoids public criticisms.

Wait .... Toyota has bought into the supercharger alumni? Last I checked - just a few days ago, they were not part of the club yet.
    well good on them!
Perhaps if they keep making the model - the next gen will have the native charge socket.
@john1701a - how much per kWh does tesla charge for access ?
i know it's different per station but at least it gives a starting point to calculate what the difference is if any

That is a “Magicdock” Supercharge head unit. Inspire of Toyota, any CCS-1 should work with it.

How many Supercharger locations are going to receive a CCS plug when everybody else is making EVs that use the NACS plug?

they will probably go the way of CHAdeMO ... going extinct ... but at a slow pace. No more or less faster than pay phones.

Quite a few. Minnesota just added a second location and it looks like several more are on the way.

Sold our tesla to CHAdeMO adapter last year ($400) ... & probably just in the nick of time.

it's probably best to hold off on any more adapters until the dust settles

I had used the CHAdeMO on the 2013 Leaf at only three stations when we did the 700 mile trip. Other than that, I never drove by a CHAdeMO station, not even on the 400 mile trip we did.

It's nice to see more DC quick charge stations popping up. They are finally putting one in our town. The only thing I don't like about it is they are installing it at a liquor store, and I don't drink.

all of them if the federal government pays as it has been subsidizing all the non naps chargers. It will stop if Tesla needs to pay. I'm sure Tesla will maintain them though.
