I park in densely packed garages at work so for me white or silver are best...they hide the dings and nicks that are bound to come over time. Dark colors (black, mag gray, red, and dark blue) would show scratches too ,much for me. I was thrilled when the dealer called me with my super white on the way.
the Prius is so hard to get, I'm not sure color matters any more. I see others around me all the time. I think you can't get some of the colors any more, but I see them around. I have the barcelona red one with the gray leather seats and dark gray interior. I really like the looks of the red one. Colors I like on the Prius: barcelona red, burgundy, black, silver, dark gray. Colors I don't like on the Prius: That light green...ick, white, driftwood, baby blue (I think they call it sea pearl or something), spectra blue
Have you noticed that it's impossible to tell the exterior color from the inside of a prius? Unless you stick your head out the window
I think the most popular color at the moment is any shade of "Available." My Prius is the Seaside Pearl, but I didn't have any actual choice about it. I plan to get it painted Tangerine in a couple years.
Living in Phoenix we have something that you'll never experience in NH... 120+ degree weather. Because of that, black cars are rarely seen... at least relative to other colors... many of us like to keep our cars on the lighter side. Mike
I really like the Salsa Red, but it's not available anymore. The Barcelona Red isn't dark red enough for me. Since that isn't available I guess that doesn't answer the question. I'd guess Spectra Blue, but again, not my first choice. I see Silver Pine Mica all the time. I've never seen a Spectra Blue before.
Oh Baby, Barcelona Red Rocks!!! A couple of coats of Zaino, a Glaze coat, and a final top wax with a machine buff, a little Maguires tire spray, and you end up with RED Liquid Love on 4 wheels!!!!! Just a thought!! 73 de Pat KK6PD
I got the pine mica--one of my preferences. But frankly, I would have taken any color with package 2 for the same price. With a new car, you do pay more attention to color. But I never do buying a used car. My experience is you get used to any color. With a car in such demand as a Prius, the package/price is more important, I would think, than the color. I would have taken the first car available in the package/price I wanted. I lucked out on the color.
Spectra blue all the way.....I love mine, have had it two weeks tommorrow! have added: back bumper guard, steering wheel cover, window tinting, window reflectors, dash cover, shark fin antenna, touring badge, trash bag, crgo tote, license plate frames, hood for gps, colored tire caps, have front deflector coming, have mud flaps ready to install.......its beautifull!
I don't really feel that way. We usually keep our cars a long time so color is important to me. Don't think I'd be happy very long with a gray or silver. Actually I would never buy one that color in the first place even if it was cheaper. Just me though - some folks are weird like that.
