Switching from “Consumption Screen†to “Energy Monitor Screen†causes the upper right hand “Outside Temperature†blurb to shift vertically by a few pixels. B)

 

I accidently hit the voice button and it asked me to make a command.. usually I just hit the button on the screen to cancel.

I didnt' know you could just hold the button down and it would cancel.

If I remember correctly, my 2006 wipes the rear automatically when you squirt. Oh, dear, that just sounds so wrong.

 

I haven't checked mine for sure, but it might be how long you hold it. I'm pretty sure my 2005 can squirt on the front window without the wipers moving. It's how I remove a little frost on the window. Squirt, wait, squirt, wait, wipe.

And I just checked my rear wiper. Only doing the squirt does a swipe of the blade. This is on an '05 delivered on August 15. 2005.

i do not know... i had both and the both auto wipe. in fact, i used to play with mine because if you squirt small enough (this topic is getting a bit weird!!) the wiper will not engage. so i used to see how many times i could squirt without a wipe..

Sorry, but owning the RX-400h (besides the '04 prius) ~ we have to take exception to that there factoid.

Equally not factored is how much mileage the Prius LOOSES when 3 or 4 big fatso's get in. In fact, you don't even have to be FAT to overload the Prius (my 2nd fact for the thread .... drum-roll ... ) . At 6'"-5" and 220-225lbs (then maybe another 5-7lbs of clothing), some might call me on the 'light' side. But even though FOUR similarly sized folks could easily fit in the Prius, it would be over it's max weight limits !!

What's up with that?

So that's why Japanese Prius mileage is higher than that of the U.S. Prius!

 

the weight limit is a problem as during both playoff games last year, we were overloaded as well, (had one passenger who was 320 lbs) but my already overinflated tires and BT plate helped to handle the extra weight. i didnt think to track my mileage because, due to logistics and work schedules, both trips were made at 70+ mph, so several factors created a loss of mileage. but despite 100+ miles in those conditions, my overage tank mileage was still in the normal range.

I'm guessing its because they don't have the long straight roads we do where you can cruise 80 - 90.. or prob even 70 for that matter very often.. so thier speeds are much more modest.



I don't know what the temperatures are like there, but thats a biggy for mileage too.



The EV switch is more of a fun toy... if you really work at it, the return is little or modest at best.... not a reason in itself for improved gas mileage of any noticable difference.
