Tired of the poor visibility when looking thru the rear view mirror?
Extend the back head rests all the way up. At this point they can be folded forward.
    It REALLY helps!

Yes, it is in the book but the book is really big!

Discovered this by accident as I was going to remove them for visibility.

I think this is country specific - not here, though.

A lot of the time, I have by back seats folded flat as I rarely have rear passengers, and that is clearest of the lot.

That is one thing that should have been demonstrated by the sales critter. I know mine demonstrated that.

Funny thing is, I don't think the rear view has ever really bothered me. I like that the rear spoiler helps stop dazzle from following headlights at night and, apart from the dirt, the lower screen doesn't become distorted by rain. I must be the odd one out!

+1, I have my rear view mirror adjusted so I can see out of the top hatch window, I don't use the lower window, never had the lower window on previous hatchback cars.

So, are you guys saying this is a US problem or that those of us in the US are a bunch of whiners?

    LOL.

Although to be fair, the 4 of them have the L-shaped headrests that we used to have on the Gen 2. That folded out of the way (but then ppl complained about the split window.... now with the headrests in the way, it's the headrests' fault)

 :p I'm saying nothing.....................................except.................I spend more time looking out the front of my car and in the side mirrors and less time looking where I've been.

This is the best one I can find. It's a Canadian show where the host goes to other countries and learns how to drive like a local.

Host: "Should I look back at my shoulder to make sure no one's there?"
Cabbie: "Why you have to look at that. You have to go front! Why you seeing back?"
Host: "Cause I might hit them"
    Cabbie: "Leave them! Leave them!"

    The whole episode is interesting.

I suspect the difference stems from the critical emphasis placed on checking the rear view just about before every manoevre in the UK driving lessons and examination protocol in UK.

The headrests can be lifted up and removed entirely. I pulled off the rear center first day I bought the car. The front headrests can be turned around backwards, good for tall riders that need to stretch out and ride with good posture.

Here's an obscure fact (also mentioned in the MultiMedia Manual). If you plug a USB hub into the USB socket, you can plug in up to two USB drives into it, and the media player will detect both of them as separate sources. Any more aren't detected.

Yep - I saw that, but then had to work out how to get a DC adaptor to power my hub - I'll have to go buy one. I'll look into that when I go touring.
