As far as I can remember, when I was first born, I took my first inhalation followed by my first exhalation. I've pretty much continued with that pattern ever since. I've probably gotten into a rut.
There's no way you can prove you can remember that far back. And how do you know you never departed from the pattern? Maybe you took two inhalations at one point, before exhaling?

This weekend I'll be entertaining close relatives (father's sister and her husband from China) that I have not known/met/talked to or heard anything about in my entire life. And I'm not very young.
It's kind of a long story. It's not that I hadn't "heard" of them, but I have a number of relatives in China that I don't know/never met and can't keep straight. These are people on my father's side. I have a bunch on my mother's side, too, which I also can't keep straight. My parents divorced when I was young and I didn't really see my father again until I was in my teens. I didn't know my father that well. He passed away earlier this year -- suddenly, while on vacation with his wife in Italy -- and I went to Ireland for his memorial service. I met up with a cousin, who is now living in NJ. The aunt and uncle visiting from China are my father's sister and her husband -- they are visiting my cousin and she is bringing them to DC this weekend.
Got it. I have lots of family in China too, mostly in Hong Kong, Toisan and Xinhui. But I didn't see any of them when I was there in 2007.
Were you born here? I am also 100% Chinese but born in the UK. I've been in the States for a very long time.
Up until her birth, my wife's parents were curious about her lineage. At the time, every fourth child in the world was Chinese...
Hey, that was my line !. Often when I was with three other non-Chinese people, I'd say that one in every four people in the world is Chinese... take this room, for example. I don't know what the current ratio is.
