The Prius is the only car I've ever owned that was able to drive away with anything I bought at IKEA. Besides the mini-vans I've owned, that I don't consider a car. IKEA also has Hybrid Only parking ! Last time I parked beside a G1 Prius, first time I saw one up close, it seemed so old.
46 days later, still unpacking. Or, rather, hoping the rest of the stuff will learn to unpack itself, because unpacking'd interfere with my House and West Wing watching. I STILL want Jed Bartlet as Prez.
I know that feeling. I moved offices about a month ago and I still have boxes everywhere. One problem is that we have less storage space! Same thing on the new Prius -- less storage space!
No one has posted to this thread in 10 days. Maybe the lives of the usual suspects have gotten interesting.
My life has not been boring - we spent a few days in Reno, and actually had a pretty darned lucky/fun time. Exhausted now. Must rest from vacation.
Well, at least you had fun. yay. I can't believe I'm still bothering to write in this thread. Back to the Tires thread...much more boring.
I'm so proud of all of you who are writing in this thread, and I guess myself included as of now. Hope everyone has a good (as possible) week ahead for them. Oh well, back to the necessary weekend chores. How boring...... :couch2:
I went to a restaurant where they wanted $20 just to open a bottle of wine that they did not own. I like quieter, less pretentious eating. After all I can cook damn well myself! I can also open a bottle of wine quite well myself!
Just came back from my weekly shop at Whole Foods....to me it is a veritable mecca of all things "food". I always get a cup of coffee before I leave so I can drink that on the way home. I have never had a bad cup there. So.......there's "boring" for you!!!
Trader Joe's has finally opened a location in Olympia, WA, so now we can shop there, as well as all the other places in Olympia that we shop at! We've been waiting a long time for TJ's.
Trader Joe's isn't boring! Safeway is boring. The least boring place to shop is Costco. I don't know why I love that place.
Hope that one has a wine store. If it does, here's a thought: Pick up a bottle of Two Buck Chuck (aka Three Buck Chuck outside of California). Then drive to Salsawonder's restaurant where they'll charge you Twenty Bucks to open it.
Trader Joe's was busy today... it's a new store (just had the grand opening on Friday)... so the checkers aren't all that well trained yet. Our checker kept forgetting that he was supposed to bag the groceries. He didn't on the people ahead of us, and then he kinda bagged a couple of things, but mostly forgot to, until the end, when he said, "Oh, shoot... I was supposed to bag these"... after DH was stuffing our (reusable) bags himself. Love TJ's. Didn't get the 3 Buck Chuck, though I saw some. I'm not giving up the Oly Food Co-op, though... it's still my main grocery store.
I laughed out loud: [imglink]http://www.bobdylan.com/sites/www.bobdylan.com/files/imagecache/news/images/news/christmas_cover.jpg[/imglink] Bob Dylan Christmas Album Sleigh, Lady, Sleigh: Bob Dylan to Release Christmas Album - ArtsBeat Blog - NYTimes.com
I accidentally dropped a new roll of toilet paper into the toilet bowl this morning. I quickly retrieved it, but about half of it got thoroughly soaked. It's drying out now in a sunny window. I wonder whether it'll dry out successfully to be somewhat usable for its intended purpose, or whether it'll dry out into an unusable giant clump of tissue.
