Every time they contact one of us for jury duty, we seem to have a vacation already booked! Well, DH did get to actually go to the courthouse for one stint. However, they had everyone picked before they got to him. I've never done jury duty... I do think it would be interesting.
Memories of jury duty: sit around in the waiting room 6 hours; eat snickers bar from vending machine for lunch; file into court room and sit on hard wooden bench for 45 minutes; be told the deputy didn't show up so no murder trial jury selection today; go home and wait 6 weeks for $17.00 check in the mail. ps-For once I'm glad it didn't get any more exciting.
I would still like to be given a chance to do Jury Duty, just something I could tick of by 'bucket list'
I can never be on a jury because of my work. Pity because like you Bev, I'd love it. Don't tell anyone about Snowtown, they might think we have strange murders in South Australia.
We do. I don't know why. We probably don't have any more than other big cities, it's just that we know about them more because they are in our back yard.
I quadrupled the memory of my daughter's MacBook yesterday. It was easier than tying my shoes. Nevertheless, I got a real DIY sense of accomplishment out of it.
Took a nap on Father's Day while father of our children went shopping for his own shirts. (Just can't seem to shake this virus.)
I wonder if Lleyton Hewett can actually win tonight in Wimbledon. Wish I could earn as much money as him, just for losing tennis matches. layball:
I think his decline began around the time he broke up with Kim Clijsters. Which reminds me ... I always thought Lleyton looks a little Belgian like Kim ... slightly googly eyes. He also looks a little like Roger Daltrey.
Bev, Are you watching now? Lleyton Hewitt is leading the 5th seed, Juan Del Potro, by 2 sets to zero.
Wake me when soccer is over. So, a couple of days ago, my DH was outside, working on something with his Dremel, and the little router bit came off the chuck, and flew into the air... ...and vanished. I looked out, and he was wandering the yard with the magnetic picker-upper thing, to no avail. This means that, one day, I'll be walking in the yard, and step on a small, sharp piece of metal. *sigh*
What are you talking about? Lleyton won in 3 straight sets. His first match win over a top 5 player in years. Sorry I looked up the Wimbledon results, but I obviously read them wrong. Just got out of bed, after a stressfull night.
