    Silver? lol

In Canada, we only got Alpine White, Ocean Blue Pearl (what you guys call Aqua Opalescent), Brilliant Blue Pearl, Silver Strata and Electric Green. I don't think we got Blue Moon or Black or that beige-ish colour

In Portugal we got only 4 colors for the 2G: Toyota - Prius.

White, Black, Silver, and Hematite gray. And 2 package levels only.
See how happy I am...

    A couple of questions -
Is the Blue Ribbon Metallic lighter than the current Spectra Blue Mica? I love the Spectra Blue Mica and I was wondering whether the new blue would be as stunning.

What about the Blizzard Pearl? Is this really a pearly white, rather than the harsh bright white of the current Prii (I call it refrigerator white because it is the color of kitchen appliances)? I had never liked white cars, but I had a pearl white Infiniti and I really liked that color.

Blue Ribbon is in the current Camry. It is just a different shade. Not really that much lighter. Blizzard pearl is not the plain white. It is that fancy white color.

And someone asked about the silver pine and that it was only on the prius. Actually, it was also available on the Sienna and Avalon.

Yeah, the Blizzard Pearl is a pearl like on Acura's, Infinity's etc... But IMO it is a whiter pearl white than you find on any Infinity Acura etc I've seen. It doesn't have that much of that off white tone I dont like.

You can see the Blizzard pearl now on current Avalons, Highlander's (Thanks ggood!, forgot about that one!) and I think Scion Tc's.

I envy you Americans about the option to chose this golden colour.
To my taste it suits the 2010 Prius very well.

I ordered what you call Blizzard White for my 2010 Prius.

Question: how much daily dirt/grime will that Blizzard Pearl show? Like, will I need to wash my car every single week without fail? I am leaning towards the silver color for just that reason. I happen to LOVE a pearlized color, but I don't have a garage so my car sits outside and I'm not one of those who washes it each week (or even every other week). Although with a white car I suppose I'd have to change and be on a regular washing schedule of once a week?

I don't know, people seem to have different opinions about this... When I had my Acura in pearl white it got dirty like any other car (except black, I love my Prius in black now but black is ultra hard to maintain) but I wouldnt say when it wasn't washed for a week it looked horrible. If anything white hides it better than a dark color... Silver is of course the best for those who don't like washing their cars but that's because imo they never look clean nor never look dirty... They're just silver :D

    I agree.

The worst to maintain is black, followed by other dark colours.
Best is silver or gray. followed by white?

Anyway, it also depends on where you're living. If there are many construction trucks on the roads, you get a real problem with white. But normal dust is no problem. The paint turns a little darker, that's all.

Last year I didn't wash my white Prius for almost one year.
First it became sort of dark white, then more and more sort of light gray, and after all it was sort of brown (due to those nasty construction trucks on my way to the office.) :)

You're right about the silver! I have a silver Prius and even though it's good that it doesn't show dirt that much, after one's spent hours washing and polishing it, there's no glow. However, I'm not quite sure whether it's just the color or the quality of the paint. This is one of the very few complaints I have about my Prius. There doesn't seem to be any depth to the paint. After only a few weeks, I started seeing little dings and scratches in the bumpers and hood.

My pearl white Infiniti I-30 didn't show that much dirt either, and it looked great when it was really clean. I bought that car used, and it was about 10 years old and 150K by the time I got rid of it (it's still going -- I gave it to my daughter), and there were only a few minor blemishes on it.

Yup lol. We only had 2 in 2004 but that became 3 because navigation was finally available (at a really high cost). We didn't get Magnetic Grey til 2008 (it was available in the US in 2007) and no Spectra Blue Mica for us.

It's a deep blue. Just check out the Camry to see the colour in person. I think it looks better on the Prius than on the Camry.

Blizzard Pearl is a pearly white, 3-coat paint. The current Super White is, as you've described, refrigerator white.

Make sure it's the pearl white. Flat white (Alpine White or Super White) is also available on the new Prius.

It is hard to make silver paint "pop". I tried once on our Titanium Silver Camry (so a slightly different shade of silver than Classic Silver. It's more grey and less silvery). You really had to look hard. It helps if the chrome on the side mouldings and window sills sparkle a bit in the sun and the tyres have dressing on them but if it wasn't for those two, I'd don't think anyone would've noticed it was freshly waxed.

I've only seen the spectra blue mica a few times but it seems to me that it was a deeper blue than the dark blue I sometimes see on other Toyotas. Wish I could see them side-by-side. I'll have to go take a look.

I think the classic silver of my 2006 Prius is too light a color and it has no depth. The darker silvers on other cars seem to have more shine to them. But again, the lack of depth could be due more to the quality of the paint rather than the color itself.

I would say that on the current generation Prii, the color that has the most glow is the barcelona red (and the spectra blue mica which I rarely have a chance to see). I am a little biased against red cars so didn't choose that color, but I think it probably looks the best when clean and polished (and I don't think I've seen a dirty one!). The spectra blue mica wasn't available when I bought mine, otherwise I would have chosen that. I regret not choosing the magnetic grey, which was my original choice. I ended up choosing silver because I thought it would show dirt less (it does) and it wouldn't get so hot in the summer, which is probably also true.

It is very very light, yes. The 04-05 Prius had Millennium Silver Metalllic (also found on the 99-05 Lexus GS) is darker and more solid.

Magnetic Grey looks fabulous and ties with Flint Mica imo as the best dark grey. Toyota dark greys are harder to distinguish. I can't tell the difference between Graphite Grey Pearl (gen 4 Camry) and the current Smoky Granite Mica Gen 2 IS).

I'm more of a dark red person (e.g. Salsa Red) but I must say, the 2010 Prius in Barcelona Red looks very sharp.

Yes it is deeper than the other Toyota dark blues such as Stratosphere Mica (short life), Nautical Blue Pearl (my current favourite), Indigo Ink and Brilliant Blue Pearl. I would say Blue Ribbon takes Spectra Blue one step further.

That ice blue, or lt purple, does it for me. It's definitely more stylish looking than my 08, which is boxier. But it looks like the driver is lower. That wouldn't be good for shorter drivers like me. The 08 sits high, better for a shorter driver.

In the low 20s, the 2010s look like a great value. As good as it gets, in my view.
