How much for the heated seat option? if you don't mind saying? I paid 100.00 per seat for heat when I added leather to my Tacoma.
I'm certain if I had taken the time and shopped around, I could have done better but I paid $549.00 at the dealership and have the piece of mind, knowing they will stand behind the work.
I wanted the C3 to begin with for the navigation, entune, push start, and smart key system. The 4 was appealing but the extra money for the heated windows and seats really wasn't a must. I ordered mine with the moonroof and am so happy I did. I open it up every chance I get. Silly it sounds, but I use to own a convertible over a decade ago, world of difference, but as much as I liked taking down the roof, over time it wasn't worth the trouble so even on the nice days I wouldn't even bother. Just a little push of a button I can add in some fresh air and sun. I don't think I will ever buy another car without it.
I bought a Prius C4, which only comes with a moon roof in my area. If you hustle hard enough, I don't think it ends up effecting the price very much after you finish negotiating. The trick is to convince a dealer that you are determined to find someone who will get you one without a moon roof at the lower price.
Funny, but I picked package 4 rxactly for the heated mirrors and foglights which are actually useful on my daily commute- the rest was frosting. I do feel pampered and I have no regrets!
In my area (CA) they only sell the Prius C4 with moon roof. I am mostly indifferent to it, but on hot days it is nice to be able to leave it cracked while the car is parked so the inside doesn't get as hot.
I have a moonroof and realistically, I barely use it. I think throughout this entire summer I've opened it 3x for very short durations. It's nice and works well, but I wouldn't choose to get it again.
I would love to have one, but it's more of an ideal feature than a necessary one. So I got a Two. I'm hoping, however many years down the road, I'll be able to afford a car with one. Even without opening the moonroof itself, I like how they make the interior feel more "open."
Does anyone get a loud vibrating sound (sort of like an unbalanced sound in your ears) when you open your moonroof all the way? I can only open up to 75% or it will make that sound... sorry, first time with the moonroof.
Yes, it just the air passing into the car cabin has nowwhere to go so it creates a bit of a vacum sound. If you open the sunroof all the way, and the right rear passener window open about 3" and your drivers side window open about 2" you get a great breeze circulating in the car. Love the fresh air! Try it and let me know what you think!
Had moon roofs of previous cars, and I never used them. Wife had a huge one on her Forester XT. She used it all the time until it broke 4 years later. The $1800 repair bill and the dealer playing games (keeping the car hostage until we either agree to the $1800 repair bill or shell out $600 to diagnose the problem) convinced us we don't need any more moon roofs. Having said that... I have one on my CT.
I was curious about how much reduction in MPG I can expect if I have the moonroof open all the way or part way.
Bad experience in previous cars, I don't know where it rains if outside or inside the car je, je. So my answer is NOP.
Wanted a C for under $20K so a C4 was out of the question. My last car was a 2001 Acura TL that came with a sunroof and heated seats standard. I think the only option on the car was the GPS. Do I miss having them? Yes. Can't do much about the sun roof but the heated driver seat was solved for $50 from Amazon.
