At the moment, I see on the configurator that the SR+ is still there, now with basic autopilot included, starting at $39,500. LR versions show as only dual motor LR and performance. SR can apparently still be ordered “off-the-menu” for the time being.

Yep, that shows you their confidence in what they are saying. If they were really so sure about the future of EV's and Tesla they would be shorting all day long. (aka put your money where your mouth is)
The Model 3 SR is basically the same story as the Model S 40kWh. Those that, for whatever reason, take it personally will continue to bitch and moan, but the rest of the world will just move on. Panasonic also recently entered into a deal with Toyota for a joint battery venture in China. Their choice to not increase investment with Tesla may have nothing to do with Tesla.
How much is your health worth from breathing polluted air? How much is your personal property worth from being destroyed by hurricanes or rising seal levels? How much is your offspring's future worth? To me, range is not what matters. Doing the environmentally right thing is what matters.
