    Driver Behaviour
Gliding definitely works, so work on your skills
applied skills are the difference between 4.2l/100k to 4.7l/100k, (56 M per USG - 50 M per USG)

    Electricals
    reduce electric consumption
turn down, or turn off that stereo
    reduce heating temp
    turn off the AC
if you like, replace bulbs for LED solid state devices
every watt of battery juice you consume will be replaced by the system

    Wheels/Tyres
we already know bigger wheels are heavier, and have a reputation for consuming more fuel, people talk in the area of 4-7 US MPG
so it follows that lighter wheels must enhance MPG
as an example. Volk CE28 15" x 5.5" are near half the weight of stock wheels
Run high pressures on tyres, be vigilant about checking them

    Aero mods
Lower the car, which will reduce under tray turbulence and therefore drag
A flexible front air dam, and a rear diffuser to hold suction back. Suction is a stronger force than front pressure
Eliminate the longish aerial and mirrors, will also work on that CD
You can get your panel guy to ramp the doors, so that they dont have a protruding leading edge
Spacers that push the wheels further out and more inline with the fender panel also reduces turbulence

Best gen2 mod for mpg: Sell it it and buy a Prius C. you've made your vehicle lighter and more aerodynamic .

If you've got plenty of cash around.. a prius prime
