This is a long overdue post. After 13 weeks of waiting, the Prime (Advanced Blue Magnetism/Black) came in. Delivery went smooth, though dealer did not charge (as requested) or turn off the backup beeper (I bought Carista and changed that along with a few other tweaks on the Prime and our other car). Picture shows the trade-in Gen 2 Seaside Pearl Prius next to the Prime at the dealer. Took a trip to upstate NY the week it came in and used some charging stations at hotels. Generally very impressed and pleased.

 

If you have time try buying a Prius from Berlin City in Portland Maine. Contacted them last Sat. Got a Prime Advanced in Blue Magnetism for the price of $28, 685.00 plus $582.00 for All Weather Floor Liners and Cargo Tray, Door side moldings and Door Edge Guards.
I worked with Dominick Bernard on the sale and was very easy. Took less than 1 hour to complete everything to this point.
And to fly to Maine and drive the car home less than $350.00
I give up trying to buy a Prime in the Midwest which turned out to be an almost $10,000 savings.

That's a great savings. I am so jealous. It would be great to see my relatives in Maine. I can't get away right now and I'm not comfortable driving such a long distance by myself (in a new car!). Just don't tell me that you got moonstone interior.

 

Nope. I really don't like Moonstone. Plus, I can't wait to take my car to the dealer, for service, that told me that the Prius they wanted to sell me for $36,000 plus taxes and fees and tell him what I got this one for.
These Toyota dealers in the Milwaukee and Wisconsin area act as if they are the only ones that I can buy a car from. I really am thankful that Priuschat was able to provide me with the idea of looking elsewhere.

 

So... now that the one I ordered on the 1st of May has FINALLY arrived at the dealership (it got there about 7:30 pm last night), does that make me at least "PSEUDO-official"?

I clicked to "Edit" this post... then selected "More Options"... and then chose "Upload a File"... choosing the three "files" / the three images I had saved to my Mac's desk-top........

Thanks for the suggestions, but because I have a Mac, I was hesitant to try that. Still, I've figured out *A* way that I can do it. I posted what I did up above (as an "Edit" to my earlier post)....

 

Well... I've made a temporary change to my "signature", but I'm going to wait until the car's in the driveway or garage here at the house (probably EITHER Saturday or Monday) before I change my profile info.

Glad it's almost a reality for you... finally.

For us, the wait was a little awkward to share. We stumbled across an orphaned order. Someone walked away from a Prime already heading to the dealer with exactly what my wife wanted. So, we jumped on it. Had we not immediately put down a deposit (raced out to the dealer within the hour) it would have snatched up by someone else. Long story short, from deposit to driveway was April 28 to May 31.

Anyone in DFW, TX have a Prime?

 

I live in Indiana. I test drove 2017 Prime Advanced yesterday and liked it. No cars at reasonable price anywhere nearby. We are flying to Westchester County, NY this weekend to pick this car up from there. We are debating driving it home to Indiana vs shipping it to Indiana. What do you guys think. Also, any recommendations on car shipping companies?

 

Hopefully not a lot a Prius Prime on the dealer lots between Corpus Christy and New Orleans.

I just drove from Portland Maine to Milwaukee WI by myself. The trip took me Fri afternoon to Sunday afternoon. With 2 drivers it should be an easy trip. Just be careful in Ohio with speeding.
