I bought a set of Hydroedges tires at CostCo in 2006 for my 2004 Prius.
The stock integrities didn't quite last 30K miles.

Now, with about 75K miles on the Hydroedges, I need to replace them.
I run them at 42/20 psi.

I've been corresponding with Michelin every few months this year - the
stock size of P185/65R15 86T has been out of production all year.

On September 27th Michelin Customer Care told me "The Hydroedge production was delayed due to other business obligations. We regret that this decision was made but
it was deemed necessary at this time. We hope to see the Hydroedge go into production late 4th qtr or early 1st qtr 2011. At this time Consumer Care has not been give a definite schedule."

I just sent one final email to Michelin customer service. We'll see what they say - but I'm not optimistic.

CostCo has as an alternative the Bridgestone Turenza. Does anybody have positive or negative experiences to share about this tire on a Gen II Prius?

I don't much care what Consumer Reports has to say about electronics, but I trust their tyres review. These are the recommended all-season:

    To followup:

On December 2, Michelin customer service responded to my latest query:

"Thank you for your email. We welcome the opportunity to serve you.

Unfortunately the P185/65r15 Hydroedge tires are not scheduled for production for the next 4-6 weeks, at a minimum.

We know that an apologize is not going to get these tires for you, but truly do apologize that we can not supply at this time."
