You can no longer claim any tax credit at all on Kandi EVs (could get away with it prior to 2021)

Wasn't Kandi selling a real car prior to 2021? Today, their site only has the low speed versions on it.

None of their cars were ever “real”

Government has forced them to put on low speed vins this year

LSVs are physically the same as prior cars but with a speed limiter tuned in

Wait; this isn't a joke....People actually bought those go-cart, death traps...

I noticed something funny on the website; you get a 3yr 36K mile warranty - but the battery is only covered for 30K miles. Sorry sir; we're honoring our warranty - but unfortunately you got 30,001 miles on it; and it's the battery pack that's bad....But the real good news is that you took advantage of our 72 month finance offer; have fun paying for that driveway paperweight for another three years...:LOL::ROFLMAO::sleep:

But how does that compare to a Club Car's warranty and financing? The Kandi is actually cheaper, and has doors.

Wait, I think InsideEVs got it wrong. The previous article gave only a rough number when they said over 190,000. It was more like 192,900 when I calculated it. I am pretty sure they are up to about 200,800 at this point—too many significant figures omitted by InsideEVs. No bZ4X for @Salamander_King or 2023 Prius Prime for me. :(

You're right. Seems to be a disconnect. Nothing official until either Toyota and/or IRS tells the world.

The number I have is 200,728, which is 181,928 (2021 Q3 cumulative) + 10,376 (2021 Q4) + 8,424 (2022 Q1). Perhaps there is an error larger than 728 in the 2021 Q3 cumulative number, but I won't put much hope in it. It is unfortunate that it is so close.

Hey, that's OK. I don't like bZ4X styling. I'd much rather have Subaru Solterra which I have a reservation paid for. ;)

But, when do you think 2023 PP will be out this year? You are getting a 2022 PP in a few months, so are you seriously thinking to trade that in for a 2023 PP if it comes out before the tax credit goes into a phase-out period. That would be a total $9004 tax liability you will need to take full credit for both 2022 and 2023 PPs.

Oh, no, I meant perhaps I can cancel the 2022 and get a 2023 instead. I wouldn't get both.

same situation here. I am really interested in the bZ4x but without the full Fed tax credit, I will go for other brands.

The problem is that Subaru is not making too many of Solterra this year. Neither do other makers. With the current market condition, I may have to wait for a few years before I can actually find a BEV I can buy.

    http://www.torquenews.com/1084/subaru-says-new-solterra-ev-sells-out-first-72-hours
With the supply chain issues and microchip shortages, production of the 2023 model year Solterra will be limited. Reports say Subaru Corporation will produce fewer than 10,000 Solterra models for the entire calendar year 2022. Subaru of America has not said how many new EVs will be available for U.S. customers.

And those limited productions will carry high dealer mark up. It's the Wild Wild West out there in the new car market.

I actually prefer bZ4X's looks, more in line with Lucid's luxurious design style. Subaru's stretched-hexagon design is too busy for most people. Toyota also has the bumper sides painted, whereas Subaru has rubber bumper pieces, which will scratch and deteriorate very easily. That said, the two designs are otherwise almost identical.

Very vague info. There is no such thing as sometime before June. It's either after June or after September.

My interpretation is that it could be any day between now and June 30th, sometime in Q2 2022. Then phase out starts Q3 2022.
