Wait I don’t understand what your saying. Can you take a picture?
Where is the proper place to connect to battery?

Did you ever figure It out?

Your build sounds badass. I’m guess for fun. Maybe an already bad battery?
2nd wild guess maybe bad inverter?

I apologize for the necro but i havent found any other pists where they have done a similar build to yours, i have three questions for you if you can remember, how did you wire up and connect your spare batteries, how did you adapt the jis prius battery to sae connections, and did this system ever give you any major issues in the years since you made this post

I plan to install 2 infinity speakers. 300 watt 2 ohms. I have a 2014 prius type 2. Do you guys think the system can handle that?

i dont know why everyone is so scare to run any amp higher than 400 rms on a prius :) just do some searches on google and i'm sure you will find plenty of people running full systems with no problem.. As for me I've been running a system since i first got the car in 2012 so yea, original battery still operation and no inverter issues! I have an optima yellow top and I ran that with a 2000 watt rms mono amp, 4 channel 280 watt and dsp. These days I added a 16v lithium super cap which is awesome to prevent voltage drop, a 1200 watt rms hd1200 mono amp, 4 channel zapco 500 watt amp, 2 channel 300 watt amp for rears, and dsp.. So in short, go wild the prius can def handle it long term.
