Make Prius more visible at night

    I like the reflective strips. They are low maintenance, simple to install, and fully legal. You should be able to get them in pinstripes if that matches your taste better. Accent or conspicuity lights should be white up front, amber on the side, red in back. Don't make them flash and you should be OK. If you are really, really, concerned about the removability issue you could get a roof rack and light it boldly, same as some big rigs have a strip of light running along the top of the cab and trailer. It helps visually define what people are looking at so they don't try to drive in between the cab and the tail lights. Electroluminesent lights would give you massive artistic potential. You would want to just tape them on first to see if they are bright enough.

    Undercar lighting is the only thing I can think of that hasn't already been suggested here. I consider it safe, effective, and tasteful. No clue how GA. feels about them. I would like to see your result, whatever it is.
