    Your sub sits much tighter to the side panel than mine but I am still able to remove mine without too much of a hassle. Like I said I will only need to access the spare tire which hopefully wont be very often. I don't store anything in the little trunk cubby anyway.

    Yes, guy off Ebay made them. It's a gen 2 though. But fiberglass was thin so I went over it and beefed it up. Used the bottom bolt location to improve the mounting of it. It's nice and solid to the car. But requires removing the driver from the enclosure to remove it and change and taillight lamp. Lol
    I do upholstery for my work and went direct to my supplier for a carpet match. Turned out great.

    My cars a Gen 2. Alpine V9 5 channel amp. Alpine CD changer with digital out going into the PXA-600 Alpine processor. Old gear I'd like to upgrade. Danamat stuff on the changer top if wondering. Negative amp cable has a 4 gauge directly to the battery plus the original car ground connection. But needed the ring expander to use anything from a regular size battery posts. They don't make multiple connection terminals for those little posts. PXL_20211123_193505360.jpeg PXL_20211123_193558838.jpeg

    Love those Alpine 5 channel amps. What year did you install this system ? Those speaker crossovers are HUGE !!! I have the same issue with having to remove the driver to access behind the sub box. Just part of the deal with the location if you want it securely attached. Don't want a 50lb speaker enclose hurling across the cabin in case of an accident.

    End of 2016 for the system, 2017 for the custom sub. Speakers are Alpine SPX-17m. Bi amped with the 4 channels. No rear sound. Plan on removing the passive crossovers and just using the amps crossover. I'm friends with the guy who designed that stuff when he worked for Alpine. Went to high school with him.

    These digital amps are great. Good sound quality in a small package. Replaced a older big class AB amp years ago with the first Class D full range they made. It sounded better.

    The helix uses what they call a GD class amplifier. This is from the Audio-Tech website about the amp ;
    " Audiotec Fischers proprietary Pure Class GD concept takes the efficiency of conventional Class D amps to the next level. By varying the internal supply voltage depending on the amplifier’s input signals, idle losses are significantly reduced and overall efficiency is close to maximum at any time.
    So heat dissipation is almost negligible thus allowing smallest heat sinks and most compact form factors. Besides that Pure Class GD amp outperforms conventional Class D designs in terms of sound quality by implementing a fully differential signal path and improved output filter design. "
    Sounds fancy !!!

    All I know is that the Helix amps are SUPER quiet. So glad I went with them.

    Shouldn't be the amps problem for the engine noise. Was that in a Prius?

    I get some whine from the hybrid system. I have to disconnect my controller to my processor. That and the Ai-net cable hooked up and it's loud.

    I have my system converted to Digital thru the Pac Amp Pro to the DSP so it's a super clean signal with no noticeable noise whatsoever. Very happy with the Pac Amp.

    Yes I remember. My old 7949 Alpine deck had a digital out for the CD player of which I used. But the player started to give issues. So it's been replaced. The Ai-net can't be converted so I'm stuck with that. Made the mistake if running the processor controller cable down the left side of the car. Hybrid battery cables run that side of the car. When I get the PXA-H800 Alpine processor I'll rerun on the right side. Don't know if there's anything I can do with the Ai-net cable.

    Yea...Running the wiring down the passenger side may help. I don't have an Ai-net cable. My system runs off the digital Toslink cable from the pac amp pro to my DSP and splits from there with a standard RCA cable to my second amp but controlled by the DSP. It gave me a nice noise free system which is what I was looking for from the beginning. Sick and tired of noisy systems

    The Prius should be one of the easiest vehicles to get a clean signal out of since there's no alternator

    Sure but have 200+ volts flowing around the car is another story.
