    here's the thing - for those many who have never been to the drags. You drag race a bunch of times during the day/night. Huge amounts of energy. Those winners race each other - than those winers race each winner - until you're down to the last 8, then 4, then 2. Moreover - no super chargers at the drag strip. And don't forget - even if there were, superchargers, they start tapering at the top 20%. Tesla's have begun to race up Pikes Peak too, & owners report having to deal with the same issues. Miles from nowhere - much less a supercharger. Yet - the practice runs prior to their official time to climb 1,000's of feet really cuts into the packs' capacity. Maybe someday if Tesla tries to go pro, Mr. Musk has already proven the packs can be completely changed out in under 5 minutes ... probably could get it down to a fer seconds if huge race $$ were involved
