I wouldn't mind a dynamic system that lowers the car at highway
speed to improve wind drag. Otherwise, couldn't care less...

BTW: OP - no sh*#storm at all for your post. wait 'til Jan20th.....

Could be a real photo. I wouldn't be surprised either way.

There is a driveway to a Sonic in Arkansas that I will not try in my Prius...

It ought to be against the building codes to have a driveway like that.

I live in "lower Eagle Ridge", lol. On the flatlands, walking distance to amenities. Up the hill in the thin air 'burb, there's a lot of crazy-steep driveways, you see great gouges at the crests and toes.

    Well, democracy in action:

It's a skateboarder's dream house! Actually it is apparently a doctored photo. Someone found the actual houses on Google Maps. The second picture below is another version of the doctored photo, actually it's from a different angle, which would have required double the work in Photoshop doctoring two photos but that probably helped "sell" the photos as real.

It only needs lowering if you are going for even better fuel economy.

I can't imagine why anyone would change any aspect of such a highly engineered product as a Prime. Seems to me you are in for a big disappointment in overall performance and reliability.

I would probably go for a front air dam and side skirts along with front aero cover. But I would first benchmark the car without the mods; test; remove, and; test: A-B-A. If there is a measurable improvement, put them back on.

Having an older wife, making the car lower causes problems for folks with arthritis getting in and out.

I would expect adding air dams and skirts would void all warranties ... especially on the traction battery as I'm pretty sure it would affect its cooling. There may be other sensors that depend on that air flow.

Hey, just mount four 'donut' tires. They will wear out about the time the experiment should be over. <GRINS>

Wow ... so Toyota is offering factory air dams and skirts for Prime? Because the warranty that came with mine specifically prohibits "Alteration or tampering, including installation of non-Genuine Toyota Accessories"

    :)

But it's your car ... make yourself happy!
