There are a lot of threads on here about how to get a good price. Below is a recent thread where i described how I got my "best possible price" in post #12, but others posters have good ideas too on this thread:

Anyone know when the '15 v is expected to hit dealers? We had pretty good luck negotiating the price on a '13 v3 at the end of 2013 as they were clearing them out. Toyota was also offering higher incentives on the '13s at that time.

The dealer we bought ours from offered it to us at invoice right off the bat. The same dealer wasn't flexible on price when we went back this Spring to buy a Sienna. We ended up buying the Sienna through Costco - wonderful price and experience.

To use the Costco service you must be a member and contact Costco first. Costco then has a dealer in their program contact you. One of the program requirements is that the dealer shows you the invoice and give you the Costco price which can be above or below invoice.

Raelou, my gut tells me you likely will be disappointed by the relative smallness and lack of grunt in the Prius V compared to your Expedition. Sure, check it out but remember that the V has only 134 HP and if you intend to load it up like you probably did the Ford, it will be a lot of weight for the V to carry, given that your kids are getting bigger, you have dogs, etc. A V would work great for me but I don't have a wife and kids or dogs and the biggest car I had was a Mazda Tribute small SUV. Despite my liking the panoramic roof also, I'd likely get a Two because its audio system isn't laden with Entune and Satellite Radio and the price is friendlier (about $30 K). Check out the V but do the test drive WITH your wife and kids along so you can better consider its acceleration when more loaded.

RJ: Got it. Hold down both the open and lock buttons for five seconds. Nice.

If you wish, you can also set it so that when you grab the driver's door handle, all doors unlock. It is in SETUP in the Display.
