'96 Saab 9000... loved it, but had to go with 90% reduction in emissions in a similarly sized car. I know I'll miss the heated seats, though <sigh> but also know I'll love all the tech in my new Prius! (haven't taken delivery yet... next Thurs!!)

I ordered 1st time late September, dealer called 4 weeks later, but sold out from under me to a buyer with $3000 extra cash on my birthday. Same dealer called me back in about 2 weeks later, but would only give me $100 for trade in. Re-ordered from 3 other dealers and took delivery 9 weeks later. Beware dealing with San Rafael Toy dealer. Go to Santa Rosa! Cancelled one extra order and got friend to buy the remaining one. She took delivery about 13 weeks from order date and only because she did not insist on fully loaded model as ordered, and wishes she had waited.

This car rocks! Hope to own it till hybrid fuel cells come in. May buy Highlander hybrid for Hawaii property.

Can't remember the package but - HID fog lights, smart start, side curtain, side and front airbags, mats.

Love it.

Other car is '96 Nissan Sentra - 30 - 37 mpg - and '86 4WD Toyota Truck - 20 mpg (used very little).

Longest trip - Athens to NH - 16 hours of straight driving - dog loves the back seat folded down becase she can see out while lying down.

Did I say we love it?

Placed my order on 11/11/03 for a Salsa Red/Package 7
I was originally told by the dealer that deliveries were running around 3 months after placing the order.
Come early February, my salesperson informed me that I was first in line for the next package 7 to arrive, trouble is, he now thinks that it will be with the March allocations which probably won't come until mid to late March.
And of course, there is no guarantee that the next package 7 will be Salsa red.
Time will tell....
