therein lies the problem. even when owning one, i frequently have to take a 2nd look to identify a Leaf. its the nose of the car that is usually the giveaway so if in a position where that is not visible, its not all that easy from a distance.

No, it was a couple miles away.

    Yours?

Yeah, it can be easy to mistaken a Leaf for a Versa, if one doesn't look carefully.

Saw a blue Leaf again in Bellevue. It had a # of people riding in it and looked like it had real license plates.

I passed a Leaf in Olympia WA, today. It was going uphill out of Mud Bay toward Evergreen State.

Last evening, we saw a leaf parked on 4th ave, as we were heading up the hill towards the East side co-op, just before Ralph's. It didn't have decals, so I don't think it was Dave's.

It was the same pretty light blue, though.

Two Leafs again today. A black one, parked in virtually the same location as before, this time with a permanent plate.

The previous red one has been spotted several times at the original location. But today's sighting was several miles away, driving just off I405 and orthogonal to the path to that site, so I can't link it to the original red sighting.

Leaf Sighting Tip; hwy 99 is a multi-lane thru-fare that runs from speeds of 40-55 mph with long stretches of lights spread far apart, easily visible from a distance making them easy to time. it was essentially the original I-5 and despite its lights and lower speed is frequently quicker than I-5 that it parallels.

one Leafer last night saw two others besides his own on that street. so if you are looking for them, that is the place to be. but then again, by the end of summer, they will be all over the place!

Another Leaf today, red, on the other side of the lake in Ballinger.

A style cue that catches my attention, for quick glances, is the side panel shape over the rear wheels. It reminds me of large round hips (no stereotypical anthropomorphic insults intended). The Versa has flatter hips. But a Juke also caught my attention today has having these large hips.

Does anything else with a Nissan badge have this style cue to confound my quick glances?

There is always a white one plugged into a recharge station at my local Kaiser hospital. I get so jealous.

Other than at the dealer, and/or going to Leaf events by attendees that live just a few miles down the road - we've yet to actually see even ONE in the wild - even thought there are quite a few around here.

I saw another white one at Coscto in Woodland yesterday. There is at least one blue one I see cruising around Davis too.

    :)

    Or maybe a rake?

This must be a burning question over at LeafChatter, where they're bound to have several threads...or do they call them branches?

Saw a pretty blue Leaf heading through Aberdeen today - it still has the paper registration in the back window.

    Nice! :thumb:

Saw a blue one in Redmond again (maybe it's the same one I've been seeing a lot in my area) and another blue one parked in Seattle in the Queen Anne area.

Saw a white one in Shoreline this morning. This is the first I've spotted from a front quarter angle, so the 'bug eyed' look was prominent. Even the spouse noticed it.

PS. I was really hoping for my first 3-Leaf day, but only one of the two semi-regulars was spotted.

I saw one this morning alongside of me. Well it was going pretty slow uphill -- I'm not sure if that was intentional.

Besides the ones I saw at a Leaf event at Younker Nissan on Saturday, I saw a blue one in downtown Bellevue this evening. It was blue, didn't have plates yet and had Nissan of the Eastside placeholders. There were a whole bunch of people in the car.
